WOW!

Thank you to everyone who has responded to my last post.
Your collective expressions of empathy, sadness and disappointment have really taken me by surprise.
Last month I was hoping to introduce the new owners of Lindley Fine Wines, having agreed the sale of the business, they loved our little wine shop and were excited to take up the baton.
December 1st should have been their first day in charge.
However, neither they, nor us could contemplate going forward under the revised terms of the lease.
It's been a lovely 18 years, meeting new people and making new friends being a part of the community, but our door will close on January 23rd.

An interesting example of how the choice of cask can influence the colour, and the flavour, of whisky.
From the left, these whiskies have been matured in barrels that previously contained: Cognac, Merlot, Pinot Noir, White Port, PX Sherry & Tawny Port.
