We’ve had in The Horsham Cellar for awhile and as we are about to enter the next heatwave this could be the next perfect tipple for a hot sunny day for you!

You can try their Cyder Cider, made with wild yeasts and packed full of rich fruity apple flavour, or the original Cowfold Cider which is filtered and fresh with a crisp apple flavour. Or have fun and try one of each side by side! 🍎

We love supporting local business and promoting their products in the shop, and if you’re about the 5th-7th of September we will have both these ciders open for the takeover!

🇨🇺 Our Cigar range has become a key part of our shop, and you guys seem to enjoy them as much as we do!

So we were very excited to be invited to Hunters & Frankau, the UK’s sole importer of Cuban Ciagrs, to take part in their Habanos Academy cigar training day! We had a great day tasting, learning and developing our knowledge, so you can be sure that our ever growing range of Cuban Ci**rs are kept in the best condition, and that we can confidently recommend the right cigar for the right occasion.

We offer a wide range of ci**rs in the shop, mostly Cuban, however we also have some from Honduras, Nicaragua and The Dominican Republic. If you have any questions or would like to learn more please do pop in and talk to us.

If you’re in Horsham this summer be sure to check out the beautiful window installation showcasing Leonardslee Sparkling Wines .

Leonardslee launched their English wines last year and we are so happy to say they’ve become some of our best selling wines! If you haven’t had a chance to try them yet we have their full range of Brut Reserve, Brut Rosé and Blanc de Blancs available in store.

To celebrate English Wine Week we’ll have the Leonardslee’s Rosé available by the glass for this week’s Summer Lates event in the Carfax 🥂

Leonardslee will also be our spotlight wine during Horsham’s Tap & Vine Takeover in September - make sure you follow for more details and we’ll be sharing lots more about this exciting new event over the coming weeks!

Happy English Wine Week! 🍾

How many of these English wines have you tried?

We wanted to highlight our English Sparkling range, which includes some of our best selling wines in the shop! Most of them are local, and can be found on the Drink producers of Horsham Distict leaflets, which also highlights which producers can be visited.

We’re also producing some excellent still wines in this country, and a selection of both sparkling and still wines will be available by the glass this Friday evening until 8pm.

What is a Pet Nat?

Pet Nat, short for Pétillant Naturel, is a style of naturally sparkling wine. It’s goes through a single fermentation process that occurs in the bottle, trapping natural carbon dioxide to create the fizz. This results in a wine that’s often more rustic, lightly fizzy, and can have cloudy sediment and vibrant flavours!

We have 2 Pet Nats available in the shop, one from Chile made from Torontel, which is aromatic and reminds us of an orchard with blossom and tropical fruit notes, the other from the Czech Republic made from Solaris, which is more zesty and full of green apples 🥂

This post is a little after the event but no less heartfelt…. Last autumn we were lucky enough to be invited on a whirlwind yet breathtaking and inspiring tour around New Zealand with , to visit four suppliers from four key regions across the North and South Islands.

Over six days and as many internal flights, we visited in Nelson, in Marlborough, in Central Otago and in Hawke’s Bay. The incredible scenery and absolute top-notch quality of the wines were memorable, but one of the most striking things across the whole trip was the warm hospitality of the families and skilled professionals behind these wines, and their genuine passion for the wider region that their vineyards sit in. Each estate visited started with a tour of their wider regions, giving a deep sense of place to the wines tasted afterwards.

We now boast a good range of wines from each of these producers in the shop, showcasing the breadth of wine styles available from New Zealand. Huge thanks again to everyone involved for a wonderful trip; we’re blessed to be selling your wines here in Horsham!

ZINIO Bodegas is situated in the Rioja Alta region, and very kindly invited us to come and see their winery and vineyards! The hospitality was so welcoming and it was delightful to try their range and see their passion for their wines. 🍷

We also had fun doing wine blending and aroma senses which gave us insight on how Carmelo the winemaker works and creates his style of wines, and Marta and Jose Maria took us out in the city of Logroño where we tried their wines with some local food, including a favourite of white asparagus and creamy croquets!

We are excited to have their wines in the shop soon! Make sure you keep an eye out and if you have any questions about Rioja wines please feel free to ask Charlotte, she’s excited to talk about them! 🍷
