So, she said today was her last shift...before she goes on holidays and into her well deserved retirement.

We all said we'll see😜

Clare has been here with us ever since we took over the shop 10 years ago. In fact, she was here many many years before we came.

She has been a constant reminder of what dedication and commitment to work is. If there is one person who strangely never complains about going to work - well at least to me anyway 😉 - that is Clare.
We always knew we could rely on her to never miss her shifts, unless she was totally grounded herself.

Oh yes, she could be grumpy as grumpy could be sometimes😂
Try coming in without bags and ask for one. Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the wee donkey! You'd be interrogated like you had just committed a murder! before getting that plastic bag😂, after lesson on how you'd contribute to environmental decline.

To those who know her, she is a very straightforward person. We could always count on her to tell us what she thinks. But above all, Clare that we know is a very kind person, who always looks out for others in needs or troubles and helps whenever she can.

So, she said "I am off"
We said "enjoy your holidays and we'll see you when you get back"
It is not time to say good bye.....yet!

Just got a message from Andrew's mum.
"7y old Andrew from Kirriemuir was delighted to go fishing with a net from costcutter Hopeman with his daddy this morning"

They were in yesterday as we were restocking our fishing and crabbing stuff after the busy gala week.

Amazing, Andrew!! Well done👏👏
Wonder what he'll do with his cathes of the day🤔🤔
