Majorca known for beach resorts and historic ruins, also boasts some fantastic wines that here at Caviste we find absorbing and compelling. Mark and the team got to meet Paul Faurie, who took us through his wines from Son Vich. Do come on down and have a taste and decide which is your favourite.

This morning the Caviste team turned a shade of green when Mark sent through a batch of lovely photographs from Roussillon, where he is currently travelling with Wine Merchant Magazine meeting passionate producers and tasting incredible wines

Caviste on Tour. The second leg of Bill’s French road trip took him to Beaujolais, where windmills meet wine. Bill got to explore the vineyard and winery before getting excited about some windmills as well as compelling wines. Who knew Gamay was this good!

There is still time to sn**ch a bargain on our first ever auction.

One of the most compelling sweet wines we have on our list, Desire Petit Vin de Paille or straw wine. Only made in the ripest vintages using two grape varieties, Savignin and Chardonnay, which are then traditionally dried out on straw mats for a few months to dehydrate and concentrate the sugars. From the Jura, in the foothill of the Alps, this wine is honeyed and textured with the most incredible hay flavour. Have a glass at the beginning of an evening, as an apéro, or with ripe, smelly French cheeses. With an outrageous starting bid of £28, bid on the only bottle now!

Tonight we are excited to welcome guests for the inaugural Caviste Truffle Festival! We will celebrate with a delectable menu* centred around the elusive black fungi, whilst washing it all down with a selection of northern Italian gems, including a mystery from the Alte Piemonte.
