Let’s turn this wine disaster around.

Yesterday we had an accident building some of our wine subscription cases, and these three top level wines got caught in the cross fire.

Since we can’t use them in the subscription now, the only sensible thing is to open them up at the shop, and let you try them by the glass.

Some of my favourite things to cook on the Barbecue are Vegetables.

This was:
Butternut squash and Brocoli with a chili, orange and sesame dressing.
Served with a side of roasted peppers with a walnut pesto.

This sort of meal is perfect for big, vibrant white wines like our Pecorino, Alvarinho or our new Grillo from Sicily.

Ian was one of the very first people to take a chance on our Wine Subscription – and he’s been discovering cracking bottles ever since.

“I could happily spend the rest of my life drinking Bordeaux, Rioja and Italian wines,” Ian told us, “but your subscription has opened my eyes to so much more. A Rosé and White Merlot from Bordeaux? Stunning Greek wines? I’ve never had the same wine twice!”

✨ His favourite wine so far?
A bold choice – the 100% Petit Verdot “Solar del Alma” from Argentina. “Balanced, fruity, jammy – delicious on its own and great with food.”

“Usually with a meal I’m cooking. I do a full WSET-style assessment – look, nose, taste – and it really enhances the experience. Well… unless I’ve had a long day. Then I just pour and enjoy!”

Wine & Sushi Night at The Wee Vinoteca
Fresh flavours. Unexpected pairings. A night to savour.

Sushi might not be your go-to wine pairing—but it should be. Join us for an evening where rice meets Riesling, soy meets Chardonnay, and tuna tartare finds its perfect match in a chilled glass of Pinot Noir.

We’ll be serving a curated selection of sushi (think nigiri, maki, sashimi and a few surprise bites) alongside six wines that bring out the best in every roll. Expect a mix of sparkling, white, and lighter reds, each poured with purpose.

Our wine shop offers a great selection of wines from all over the world. Wines can be bought by the bottle or case. We also offer serves such as wine sourcing, mixed cases, wine subscriptions and wine for events and weddings.

Our wine bar is open all day and allows you to have a range of wines by the glass with a plate of cheese or some nuts and olives. We host regular wine tasting events like food and wine nights, wine course and producer tastings.

Our aim is to make wine simple and to help people buy with confidence.
