As many of you may have seen online and from the police statement, there was an incident at our shop today. We want to let everyone know that our team is safe, which is the most important thing.

| Four men have been arrested following an armed robbery at a shop in New Mills.
We were called at 11.56am today (26 November) to reports that a shop in Church Road had been robbed by two men, armed with a knife and a firearm.
Officers quickly attended the scene and, after crucial information was passed by members of the public, identified an address in New Street where the suspects may have entered.
Due to the reports that the men were armed, fi****ms officers attended the address and eventually arrested four men who were inside the address on suspicion of robbery. They remain in police custody.
Residents will see an increased police presence in the area tonight and into tomorrow as the property in New Street is searched, as well as a further property in Jubilee Street that is linked to one of the men arrested.
Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident and there is no wider risk to the public.
