Burley Gate Community Shop Our shop is a social enterprise - owned by the community shareholders and run for the benefit of the whole community.

Groceries, toiletries, household items, newspapers, fresh bread, free range eggs, filled rolls and home-baked cakes, seasonal produce and unique handicrafts

Sunday 0830 - 0930 It was set up to safeguard this vital social asset for our local community when the owners of the current village shop and Post Office retire. With the generous su

pport of the community we have been able to purchase a new temporary building, sited on the village hall, which will be able to stock an extended range of groceries and some delicious local food and drink, whilst continuing to provide full post office services.

Bit of a chilly one again today 🥶

So why not cheer things up as our Shirley Breese has brought some lovely plants in to tempt you ..but be quick ..they get snapped up 🏵️🌸💮

She's also brought some fresh salad leaves and spinach too..🥬

Also..if you haven't yet tried some of the first strawberries of the season you're missing a treat .
From our lovely neighbours at Freshfields we get regular supplies..so come and try ❤️🍓🍓

We are unable to process your parcels at the moment due to printer failure
We are told that it will be replaced as a priority
We will update this page when we are back in service
Other services such as cash withdrawals and bill payments are still available but your receipts will be barely readable
