The same individual who stole fuel from us earlier this week has struck again—this time at Westways Filling Station in Newquay.

We're beyond frustrated. It's disheartening to run a small, local business and feel completely unsupported. Devon & Cornwall Police , where are you? We’ve reported this repeat offender, but the response continues to be that it’s “not worth the investigation.”

Yet Cornwall Council continues to collect business rates from us—a portion of which is meant to support local policing. So where is the support for small businesses like ours?

He’s competing in the UK Ultras South Downs 100 mile run in aid of mesothelioma uk, in memory of his mum, our Sue Thomas. He’s already raised so much money for the cause, but you can still donate on his just giving page or pop some money in the pots on our counters. He starts at 12! Good luck Mark! We have a part-time Shop Assistant position available at our Connor Downs Spar shop and petrol station.

🕒 Hours:
• Monday: 5–8pm
• Thursday: 5–8pm
• Friday: 5–8pm
• Saturday: 3–8pm

Additional holiday cover will also be needed, so flexibility is essential.

We’re looking for someone who is:
✅ Friendly with great people skills
✅ Organised and punctual
✅ A strong team player
✅ Over 18 years old

Job duties include:
• Operating the tills
• Stocking shelves
• Cleaning and keeping the shop tidy

You will be working in both the petrol station and Spar shop, and full training will be provided.
