Some reds shine brightest with a gentle chill. Lighter in body, bursting with vibrant fruit, they’re tailor-made for warm summer evenings and sophisticated alfresco dining. Here are two of our favourites from the Baythorne cellar:

🍇 Von Eckhof Zweigelt | Austria
Soft black cherry and violet aromas, with a whisper of black pepper. Serve slightly chilled to elevate grilled lamb skewers or charcuterie boards.
Pair with: Prosciutto, grilled vegetables, lamb koftas.

🍇 Domaine Billard Gamay | Burgundy, France
Silky, fresh, and delicately floral — a beautifully made Gamay with finesse. Chill lightly and enjoy alongside roast chicken with summer salads or a baked camembert.
Pair with: Herbed roast chicken, creamy cheeses, Niçoise salad.
