We finally got to meet these lovely humans at Mzanzi Festival 2026 festival last year, and will be seeing them again this year, after knowing them through fudge for so long… and it honestly just felt easy, like we’d known each other forever 🤍

This birthday set was for Hendro (with a couple extras for Eben because we couldn’t leave him out 😄)

Hendro is doing some really exciting things at the moment… some still a little under wraps, but I know one day I’ll get to share just how proud we are.

With us getting ready to leave the UK, it’s been really special creating sets like this for the people who’ve supported us along the way.

Fudge My Life started off when I was craving good old South African fudge. I made 16 batches before I finally perfected my recipe, and voila! Fudge My Life was born in 2021.

✨ big news for fudge my life customers
from 2027 we will be offering something a little different and actually really exciting…

you will be able to order fudge my life biscuits and treats for your friends and family in south africa 🇿🇦

we are heading home to pietermaritzburg for a year staycation so our girls can experience africa, family life and the farm, and while we are there i will still be baking, just from the other side of the world

that means from next year you will be able to send biscuit gifts, boxes, and treats to your loved ones in south africa through me, and i can even add extra bits into the parcels if you want to make them special

the business is not closing
the business is not going anywhere
it is just moving with us for a while

fudge will still be running in the uk as normal, with help from family, and the tools side of the business is fully online now so that carries on as always

but this does mean that 2026 will be my last full year making biscuits here in england

so if you know you want birthday biscuits, wedding biscuits, thank you boxes, teacher gifts, christmas orders or anything special this year, please book early because once the diary is full that will be it for uk orders
after that i will still be here, just baking under african sunshine instead of lake district rain

i honestly hope my lovely customers stay with me on this journey because fudge my life has never just been a shop, it has always been people, stories, and the friends i have made through baking

and next year we just get to do it from two countries instead of one ❤️

Story time
well last night was a bit of an experience...
so im pretty sure i had food poisoning from pulled pork and was just living my best life next to the toilet trying not to die,

when suddenly

Flower starts screaming outside like ive NEVER heard him before!
like full on horror movie screaming!

so there i am,
half alive,
in a t shirt,
no knickers,
no shoes,
just food poisoning vibes

and i sprint down the stairs like some kind of unwell superhero, get outside,
projectile chunder on the driveway,
(honestly quite scenic)

then i hear him scream AGAIN

so now im barefoot on the stoney driveway
bum out, running into the darkness yelling for my cat like a lunatic.

neighbours probably thought i was being murdered or possesed 😅

couldnt find him anywhere
fully convinced id lost my boy to what I thought was an owl.

went back inside feeling sorry for myself and still vomiting my soul out

ANYWAY
this morning, there he is!
alive
acting like nothing happened!

turns out the culprit was a BADGER
a whole badger!

sir went toe to toe with a badger and lived to tell the tale

he got a full tin of tuna for his bravery
i got dehydration and trauma
so yeah

10 out of 10 night
would not recomend

We’re currently saving towards a moving fund as we need to move house in summer, so I’m doing a quick 50% off fudge sale to get stock moving fresh, and put a bit extra towards this savings goal.
