As we celebrate 70 years of SPAR in the UK, it feels like the perfect time to share a few of them.

A huge thank you to Nick for sharing photos from his family’s incredible 44 years running SPAR stores in Durrington and Boscombe Down, to Nykki for this brilliant holiday snap outside a SPAR in Austria in the 80s, and to SPAR Ballingarry for sharing a fantastic throwback of their store.

70 years means a lot of memories – and we love hearing the stories behind them. 💚

As some of you are already aware, Chef is off work at the minute with breast cancer. She has recently started chemotherapy and as a result is loosing her hair, so has decided to do the Macmillan brave the shave to try and raise some funds while going through a difficult time. If you can spare a £1 please consider donating it to this good cause. Thank you.

Due to extreme heat in our kitchen we have decided to not do any hot food this week, but will still be doing pastries and filled baguettes everyday. Will update you next week after this hot spell.
