GERMAN, BELGIAN AND… OVERTONE⁉️‼️⁉️

Here are some b**rs we like this week!

Overtone: Resonator (pale), Atomic (DDH IPA), and Brassneck (imperial stout)
German: Augustiner Weissbier, Tegernseer Pils, and Schlenkerla smoked cherrywood
Belgian: Taras Boubla, Duvel blonde, and Ara

New South African ragers! 🇿🇦

Die Wonderdraai - Chenin (65%), Colombard (27%), and Sauvignon Blanc (8%)
- zesty but with some heart and weight. A spicy nose of rip yellow fruit and a touch of ginger. On the lees for 7 months in old French oak. PLUMP!

Tieroog Tannat Blanc de Noir - Tannat (100%)
- Nose or strawberry leaf and cranberry. Dry palate with some texture to extend the experience! Crisp acidity with a slight salinity to the finish. GENEROUS!

Die Verlore Bokooi - Merlot (31%), Tannat (24%), Petit Verdot (21%), Syrah (15%), and Cab Sauv (9%).
- 100% destemmed, natural fermentation and then left for 10 months in older French oak. Fragrant spice and cool herbs on the nose. It’s lengthy with notes of vibrant red fruit and black tea. Textually BIG, juicy, and silky! MOREISH!

- 8 year old Clyneish in refill hogshead at 48%
- 18 year old mystery Highland aged in re-fill wood at 48.5%
- Single cask 6 year old Lochlea in first-fill bourbon barrels at 57.1%
- 13 year old ‘Inchmurrin’ from Loch Lomond Distillery in first-fill Bourbon and Oloroso hogshead casks at 52.2%

Very limited numbers on them all so get your hands on these delicious things whilst you can! 🙌

NEW STOCK!

We have some absolutely cracking new w**es from the Adelaide Hills in Australia! 🇦🇺

We have 3 things from their core range: Shiraz, Touriga Nacional, a Shiraz Pinot rose and we have 2 from their black label range: a pinot Gris, Gerwürtz and Riesling! And a a Gewürtz Riesling blend.

Shiraz: “Don’t expect the Shiraz your dad drinks”
- blue stewed fruit with baking spices on the nose. 🫐
- Lively, bright and punchy on the palate with notes of charred oak, dried apricots, sticky date pudding followed by white pepper, umami - long fresh and exciting. 🍄‍🟫

Touriga Nacional:
- single vineyard grapes - 29 year old vines
- Soft red fruit, gentle oak and “white pepper that slaps you in the face like an Autumn leaf”
- The classic textural but plushy tannins are present with that traditional earthiness!
- Plummy, brisket w**e !

Rose: “like a cool peach on a beach”
- 90% Shiraz and 10% Pinot noir.
- Despite the colour being a little darker, it is a seriously cry and crisp bottle of w**e.
- Crisp apple, honeydew melon and serious freshness all around. 🍏🍈
- Bright acidity that cuts through the fruit and keeps this rose cool and pale!

Gewürztraminer/ Riesling:
- 86% Gewürztraminer and 14% Riesling.
- Turkish delight and rose on the nose but this becomes much softer on the palate
- Palate is salty sea air, that blends and mixes with a “samphire crunch”. 🌊
- This is undercut with those aromatic booms of the classic Gewürztraminer tones!

Skin contact:
- Jumpy cotton candy, white blossom and palate is of pineapple, bursts of floral intensity and rose water.
- Hints of marshmallow and vanilla bean soak in.
- This one if for the folks who want to try something funky and a bit wild! 🪅
