As the resident Canadian 🇨🇦 in the shop, I (Lili) feel I MUST remind everyone that Canadian Thanksgiving is on this coming Monday! To celebrate you should try some w**e from the a Great White North! 🗻

Canadian thanksgiving is actually OLDER than the American one, first one recorded in 1578. Rather than celebrating the reasons American’s celebrate, us Canadians have always used thanksgiving as a way to enjoy and celebrate the year’s harvest! Seriously, there isn’t a better time to try some CA w**e! The w**e has been harvested… and now, we celebrate!

We have a range of things for you to try! Get your hands on them and have a roast this weekend! 🇨🇦🍗🍷🥕

New + back from Thompson Bros Dornoch Distillery

Back: a 18 year old mystery Highland malt! This 18 year old (what!) has been aged in re-fill wood and packs a punch! Think charred nuts, sizzling herbs and stewed fruits like apples and quince. On top of all of this the peat is bright and zippy! Slick and powerful!

New: a 16 year old malt that has spent its final 6 years in ex-Moscatel casks. Honeycomb and orange peel with caramel milk chocolate and blonde biscuits. A true delight.

In the shop now!!

Lili’s excited because lovely Roots, Fruits & Flowers Kyle has brought us an autumnal delight of apple pie plus some maple mascarpone cream. Thanks Kyle! We in turn gave him a bottle of (we’re rebuilding the sweeties, it’s time…) a bottle of Cidrerie Kerisac (it’s always time) and a can of Vault City Brewing apple pecan maple cream sour because we would like him to make a pecan pie, please?

It’s 100% Aglianico and it’s big, juicy, silky and perfect for this drizzly Friday evening!

Opening @ 5.30. Non mancare! 🍷🇮🇹🍇

Gareth’s Friday Limerick!

There was a young lady of Hyde,
Who ate some green apples and died,
The apples fermented,
Inside the lamented,
And made c***r inside her inside.

Something to contemplate with a nice bottle of c***r! 🍺
