🍷 Celebrating small producers from across the world & award winning English wines. 🍷

A curated selection of Wines, Saké and Asian Whiskies waiting to be a part of your stories. After years of buying blind in supermarkets and being constantly disappointed, Arthur spent two years in Hong Kong learning the Wine trade and experiencing the vast world of wines which he found needn’t be so expensive for

the good stuff!

“ I learnt so much and will be forever grateful to my colleagues at Winerack Hong Kong for introducing me to the world of wine and after visiting so many Wine expos and meeting so many potential suppliers I just thought it would be amazing to be able to bring this back home to Devon” Arthur Lai, 2017

We have tried all our wines before choosing to represent them, so you are never getting something we wouldn't love ourselves! Since we have tried them all we’re also qualified to recommend based on individual tastes. We pride ourselves on value for money where we believe award winning, complex, unique wines can be enjoyed by everyone.

“A great wine is one that you drink once and remember forever”

Our current favourite white and the gadget making it possible to share it with you one glass at a time.

The Coravin Pivot lets us open a bottle without committing to finishing it — which means you get to try wines like this without us having to pour the whole thing away. If you’ve not come across before, we stock the full range in store.

The wine is the Müller-Thurgau from Trentino, northern Italy. Green apple, lychee, lily and jasmine on the nose. Rich, balanced and mellow on the palate with a freshness that’s impossible to put down. Highly Commended at the Wine Merchant Top 100 2024.

At £14 it’s one of the most quietly brilliant whites we stock.

And right now — buy any 6 bottles and get £5 off. Mix and match across the whole shop.

Have you ever tried a Müller-Thurgau — or is this one new to you?

The Japanese highball is one of the most satisfying drinks ever made. We just made it better.

Nolia over ice. Fever-Tree soda water. A squeeze of fresh lime. Three ingredients, zero effort, and somehow the most refreshing thing you’ll drink this summer.

Nolia is a small batch aperitif made from real magnolia petals — light, floral and elegant with a subtle bitter twist that makes it completely its own thing. At 17.5% ABV it’s lower than spirits but hits every bit as satisfying.

£40. Head to www.wine-hub.co.uk

What’s your go-to summer drink right now?

Twenty miles up the road. Into the fridge. Into the glass. Done.

The Huxbear Callisto Rosé is made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes grown on south-facing slopes in the Teign Valley, Devon. Subtle rose and hibiscus on the nose,
raspberries and cream on the palate, crisp clean finish.

Everything a sunny afternoon rosé should be. Supporting a local, off-grid, family vineyard never tasted this good!

£16.50. In store now. Link in bio.

Devon rosé or Provence rosé — where do you stand?

We see you.

The Snapper Rock Pinot Noir from Marlborough, New Zealand. Light, silky, fresh cherry and raspberry with a whisper of cinnamon — and the one move that makes it work in this heat? Twenty minutes in the fridge before you open it.

Slightly chilled Pinot Noir in the sunshine. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.

In store now. Link in bio.

Are you a red wine in summer person or does it have to be cold and white?

Is the UK the new home for Chardonnay?

Two things we love all in one masterclass. English wines and Chardonnay.

Why do we love it? It’s probably the most versatile and malleable grape varieties in the world and it loves to show off the terroir it’s grown in. Over the last decade perhaps, the UK has definitely noticed that and has refined its ability to create not only great sparkling wine from Chardonnay but also world class still wines too!

This wasn’t in the masterclass but the Chardonnay from is epic! (Especially the octagon block)

Ps. Thanks again to for hosting as making a masterclass interesting at 10:30am isn’t the easiest! But you guys brought so much energy and fun! 🥂

What’s your favourite English Chardonnay?

London Wine Fair 2026- The Highlights!

This year we were extra excited about attending as we already had our wine heads turned up to maximum from a week of wines with Sonia studying at and my tour of 4 vineyards in 3 days whilst she studied.

First thing was to head to the stand to taste through the top 100 winners. All of us loved the Arrogant Frog Orange, playful and great value for money! Another that I loved was the Acid Crab, which was just a perfectly juicy red for the approaching summer!

We also discovered some crazy stuff too! Like a Mushroom Liquor from which sounded terrible in my head but I was totally wrong after I tasted it! Unique, earthy, herbal and delicious!

We also stumbled upon two great guys from Made in Akita who showed us their intriguing range of wines made from native grapes! (Varieties that we’d never heard of!) they also had a great selection of beers and Saké and fingers crossed we can work with them soon!

But the real highlights of the show were the masterclasses we attended. Jewels of the vine & English Chardonnay both presented by , Whisky soaring : eyes on Asia with , Jerez: the land of double terroir with César Saldaña

But the ultimate highlight this year was being able to enjoy the fair with our friend from and Sonia’s brother Steven. Wine is always better when experienced with friends and family!

It was also great to catch up with so many English producers some of whom we work with.

Sadly we couldn’t go on Day 3 as Sonia woke up with a migraine but we had an action packed 2 days!

Day 2 at the London Wine Fair and we hit the ground running.

First up — English Chardonnay. Cool climate, hot category, and one of the most talked-about sessions of the fair. The Chardonnay stopped us both in our tracks, closely followed by English Chardonnay is having a serious moment right now and this session proved exactly why.

Ps. were great hosts and made our first session of the day so much more enjoyable!

Then an industry trends briefing, a very quick lunch, and straight into what turned out to be the most compelling masterclass of the two days — Sherry’s double terroir. Absolutely fascinating knowledge gained here and presented really passionately by Cesar

We finished the day with a Sake and food pairing session exploring how temperature completely changes what’s in the glass.

Something we’ll be bringing back to Exmouth.

Two days. A lot of notes. Watch this space.

What’s your current thinking on English Chardonnay — is it finally having its moment?

We had so much fun our 8 hours flew by and we feel like we barely saw most of the show!

Great fun tasting what we did manage with our friend from !

Back to taste the rest tomorrow!

Some places make you want to be better at what you do.

Berry Bros & Rudd have been doing this since 1698. Over three centuries of seeking out the finest wines and spirits in the world, and you can feel every year of it the moment you walk through the door.

We visited, partly for research. Mostly just to stand in a room full of exceptional bottles and remind ourselves why we started Wine Hub Devon in the first place.

The standard this place sets is the standard we’re chasing. We’re not there yet — but we’re paying attention. One day.

What’s the most inspiring wine or whisky shop you’ve ever visited?

Ps. The team were amazing, exceptional knowledge and professionalism.
