STAFFING
Overhead convo between two customers the other day - “more new staff?”.
Actually we have been very lucky since we opened the bar more than 7.5 years ago. In hospitality, people move around all the time and so far we have only employed:-
Alex - our one and only child who helped create The Craft Bar, who is now in Edinburgh running an Italian restaurant/wine bar.
Calum - who was with us for nearly 2 years before moving to Glasgow.
Jack - who was with for for nearly 2 years and left post Covid as he needed full-time hours which we did not have.
Sarah - who left for personal family reasons.
George - who left to concentrate on his full-time job and for health reasons.
Kevin - who left recently by mutual agreement.
6 staff in 7.5+ years, when we employ 2/3 staff at a time is pretty good going. Ask any publican.
We currently have Donald, Patryk, Jake and Jenna, who all work part-time hours, two of whom also have full-time jobs.
