Margiotta is a family run, independent, local chain of grocery stores in the Scottish Capital and has been offering a one-stop shop for various communities for over two decades. With 8 stores located on Dundas Street, Warrender Park Road, Ashley Terrace, Lasswade Road, Comiston Road, Polwarth Gardens, Mayfield Road and Forrest Road. We are proud to be Edinburgh's largest independent food retailer.

We now proudly have two stores In East Lothian also, in Aberlady and Gullane! With a mix of everyday items, we also stock locally-sourced products, organic produce, Italian delicacies, fine wines and craft beers. Hello Longniddry 👋 Margiotta Food & Wine is delighted to be joining this lovely coastal community, from this coming Wednesday, September 24th. This is our third East Lothian store and we could not be more excited to be here, in the most beautiful of settings.

In our newest store you will find many well renowned, locally produced delights, alongside those we have sourced from further afield. We have poured a lot of love in to this store and we so look forward to welcoming each of you through our doors to explore our extensive offering of great food, wine, homewares and more.

✨NEW EVENT ✨ Furoshiki demo & Gin sampling in store with &

We are delighted to be hosting the wonderful team of Gin geniuses at this festive season. Pop along to sample their award winning, Edinburgh-made gin and observe the art of Japanese Furoshiki fabric gift wrapping.

Furoshiki, is a traditional method of wrapping gifts, now finding popularity once again due to its beauty and its environmentally conscious statement. The idea is that after receiving a Furoshiki wrapped gift, the fabric wrapping is kept and reused time and time again. Meaning part of the gift is constantly being passed on and no waste has been created in the process 🎁

Enjoy a sip or two while you watch a quick demo learning how to do Furoshiki and tick another (pre-wrapped) gift off of your to-do list!

Who doesn’t love the smell (and taste) of freshly baked bread first thing? Exactly, we all love it!

The reason all of our stores smell so good in the morning is because our in-store bakers bake off our Margiotta rolls, pastries and loaves on-site every morning just in time for our stores opening, so that you can choose from the freshest offering. We’ve also teamed up with legendary Edinburgh bakery for the more specialised delicacies.

We have a broad selection to choose from too, including morning rolls, baguettes, plain and filled pastries, seeded and sourdough loaves, and even some tasty tartlets too!

The question is, how to resist…?
