After lurking deep in the cellars for a few years, some still wearing their old livery, our Hallowe’en Mystery Malts have become a restless bunch of spirits.

We’ve managed to capture some evidence of these four fleeting legacy flavour profiles, but their names are still somewhere in the ether. These spookily good sips are available in the UK now for £55 – but only while they last.

October Outturn Peaty Pick #1:

Cask No. 168.6: Textural healing has spent its full maturation in a first fill ex-rye wh***ey barrel. The Smoky & Fruity offering from this newer Society distillery in the Lowlands goes from a world of aromatherapy to blowtorched citrus fruit and a palate that’s full of incredible texture.

Our latest 'Heresy' bottling, Batch 44: The Blender's Notebook, is the first ever blended Scotch wh**ky created by the Society. This complex and rich 18-year-old wh**ky is 70 per cent malt, 30 per cent grain and 100 per cent delicious. Expect notes of honeyed melon, Madeira cake, sponge fingers dipped in coconut cream, and candied pecans nestled beside chocolate covered prunes and yoghurt raisins.

First we explored the world of wh**ky and sherry casks. Now, we’re venturing into the world of wh**ky and its inextricable link with peat, in our newest documentary, Scotch & Smoke: A Flavour Odyssey Part II.

We’ll be telling the story of how peat and wh**ky are linked in our culture and in our glass, finding out what peat is, where it comes from, how it’s used and what its future might hold.

The results of The Spirits Business Luxury Masters 2026 competition are in, and we’re pleased to announce that we've won three Master medals and one gold medal for whiskies in our ‘Heresy’ series.

Batch 43: Noble drop and Batch 46: Lobster pot (due for release in December) were both awarded a Master while Batch 42: Highland peaty potion received a gold medal.

While you’ll have to wait a little bit longer to try Batch 46: Lobster pot, you can still enjoy Highland peaty potion or Noble drop if you're near a Members' Room or in Europe.
