Hiking a marathon for ✅️
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated to my efforts on Saturday, everyone who gave me lovely messages of encouragement (and to for providing me some protein snacks along the way!). I ended up passing the post in 8th place (though I think by timings i was 14th, booo) with a time of 7hrs, 22mins and 27 seconds, 0.01 seconds after my lovely new wee pal Gail who kept me going when my hips were giving up at mile 20. She was an absolute badass, and i hope she sees this to know how nice it was to make a pal along the way.
I managed to raise £660, and added an extra £108 from gift aid. Just amazing. Thank you all so much 🫶🏼
Ive been walking very slowly since, trying to get my left hip back into its socket (I wish I was joking) and in general just enjoying a nice sit down.
Back to regularly scheduled wine programming shortly. 🍷😎✌🏼
