Thoughts from our Tasting Panel:

“A highland dram with an expected tropical fruit nature that you can identify immediately. Kiwi skin and papaya can be tasted on the palate, alongside a custard note which should suggest the kind of texture the panel encountered. Gooseberries and poached pears are on the finish, alongside apple notes which had carried through from the nose - indicating a consistent and settled dram.”

Thoughts from our Tasting Panel:

“Distilled in Ardmore, located in the village of Kennethmont, in rural Aberdeenshire, this 10yo bourbon matured whisky displays salty, maritime notes (such as fishing nets on the nose), complemented by slight fruity hints, indicated by pomegranate on the palate and pear on the finish. The peat grows in the finish too, which also has a nutty note. A warming dram that can appeal to newcomers and experienced drammers alike.”

Our Ukraine Edition of Springbank 10 Year Old will go on sale (IN-STORE ONLY) from noon on Saturday 2nd April 2022 in the following locations:

Springbank Distillery, Campbeltown
Cadenhead's Shop, Edinburgh
Cadenhead's Shop, London

We have seen great demand for these charitable bottles which are quite limited in number. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that anyone travelling to purchase these will be successful. It is entirely up to you as an individual to make that choice.

Bottle Price: £60

Alternatively, you may wish to make a donation direct to the fund here: https://donation.dec.org.uk/ukraine-humanitarian-appeal

We will be verifying IDs to complete the front label in order to ensure that these bottles are bought for the intended purpose of supporting the people of Ukraine, rather than for profiteering on the secondary market. We are pleased some businesses have already voiced that they will not be accepting these for auction in the future.

Good morning everyone!

I'm sure many of you will remember our ex-colleague, Andrew Carlin, who worked here in the Edinburgh Shop. Andrew has always been known for his big heart and his kind acts of generosity, always looking to help out in any way he can. And thats what brings us to the main topic of this post...

Andrew is climbing Kilimanjaro (the world’s highest freestanding mountain (5895m)) in August next year for Dip Deep Africa!
Where Dig Deep work, 8 out of every 10 people lack access to clean water, safe toilets and good hygiene. Most residents live in rural communities and spend hours every day walking to collect dirty water or find a safe place to relieve themselves. This is something I am sure most of us could not imagine having to do daily and the work done by Dig Deep is vital to helping lift people out of poverty.
For a child, this can mean the difference between dropping out of primary school and completing a full education.

Andrew is now fundraising for the next wee while and would massively appreciate it if anyone could donate to my fundraising page which has just gone live:

Andrews overall fundraising target is £2700
- 50% of which goes directly to unlocking the potential of communities in rural Kenya

Hello everyone!

We'd like to thank everyone who came in to gather their reservations from our last post, and we hope they're going down a treat for you all!

We still have a good few bottles on the shelf for some folks, so if you could get in touch by email and phone to organise collection or delivery of your reservations.

Our shop is still open 10:30-17:30, Monday to Friday, so you can pop by between those hours to collect. If you cant make it in, we still offer UK Mainland delivery for a flat rate of £10.

This is a reminder to all those who have reserved tasting packs for the upcoming virtual tasting on Saturday 19th May, that these packs are available for collection/shipment now from our Edinburgh shop.

If you are looking to get bottles shipped please contact us by Tuesday 15th June so we can ensure that your tasting pack arrives with you in time for the tasting. Shipping is only available to UK Mainland for a fee of £5.00.

We also have a small number of tasting packs still available for sale at £30 each, so if you're interested in snapping any of these up please get in touch with us quickly. This tasting is not one to be missed!
