Arrived yesterday from we've got these Pride of releases from Thompson Bros:

🥃 Pride of the Hebrides 8 Year Old Harris. A peated small batch fully matured in two first fill bourbon barrels. 'Gently peated and refined- evoking memories of sitting on Luskentyre Beach.'

🥃 Pride of the Hebrides 21 Year Old Jura. Small batch and peated, from first fill bourbon barrels. ' A gently medicinal dram, packed with coastal salinity, baked pineapples, citrus peel and an elegant coastal smoke'

🥃Pride of Islay 12 Year Old Bunnahabhain. Unpeated! Matured for over 5 years in first fill Madiera w**e barriques. 'Wonderfully balanced and elegant- packed with soft, ripe, rd berries, rich walnut oil and subtle signature coastal salinity'

New to DWB from Kilchoman Distillery we have Kilchoman Rockside 11 Year Old.
This is the distillery's first core release using their own barley- it's 100% Islay with
barley grown, malted, peated, distilled, matured, and bottled on Rockside Farm, Islay.

🥃 Lightly peated
🥃 46% ABV
🥃 11 years Old
🥃 Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks
🥃 Notes of light smoke, tropical fruit, citrus sweetness and mixed spices.

Sounds a bit like Autumn evening perfection.

🍂 On Saturday 31st we'll be heading over to the from 11-3pm for a wee pop up stall. You'll be able to pick up some of our most local whiskies and have a chat with Will & Helen.

🥃Alan will be holding the fort at DWB HQ (2 High Street, Dunkeld) 10am-5pm on Saturday 31st so you can pop in there for a sit down and a dram, or pick up something from our full range of whiskies, gins and craft b**rs.

Huge thanks to for dropping these in for us.

Bottles From The Deep is a fascinating account to follow- Erin and Jamie spend their free time snorkelling in our lochs and rivers and seeing what previously discarded treasures they can find.

These bottles have come out of the water either from Lochs up near us, or Glenshee.

They've told us that these beautiful bottles probably range from 1880s-1910s. The smaller ones are flasks and one of the bigger bottles has 'Six to Gallon' emobossed on the bottom. This was a common measure of wh**ky for those bottles at the time- 1/6th of a gallon, which is not far off our standard modern measurement of 70cl.

Pretty cool, no? Pop into the shop if you want a closer look.

Glen Garioch Single Malt Scotch Wh**ky, bottled by Signatory Vintage. Glen Garioch is one of the oldest wh**ky distilleries in Scotland, dating back to 1797- they typically produce a rich and malty spirit.

🥃 14 Years Old
🥃 Matured in first and second fill bourbon barrels
🥃 Expect fruity notes with vanilla, honey and some spice

Two anniversary releases from Edradour Distillery- bottled to celebrate 40 years of Edradour's Owner, Andrew Symington, being involved in the wh**ky industry.

We have:
🥃 6 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Wh**ky, from the first Edradour distillery,matured in Pedro Ximenez casks
🥃 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Wh**ky, from Edradour No.2, matured 1st Fill Châteauneuf-du-Pape Hogsheads
🥃 Both are 57.1% ABV
🥃 Natural colour, non chill filtered
