Out the box and on the shelves this morning are two new 2025 releases from The Glenturret Distillery

🥃 12 Year Old Single Malt- caramelised citrus fruits with light vanilla, wood spices, ginger, nutmeg and oak. We're told it has more PX cask influence this year, making it a bit more fruity than previous releases.

🥃 10 Year Old Peat Smoked Single Malt- smouldering peat, vanilla, dried fruits, dates and soft smokiness.

To celebrate these releases, we have both of these open for sampling.

New specially selected single cask from Lindores Abbey Distillery, bottled at cask strength of 59.1% ABV
This one is a bit of a treat- Lindores spirit that has been matured in an ex rum cask that was then used to mature an Islay peated whisky.

Lindores tells us it has 'notes of floral heather, sweet toffee apples, cinnamon and muscavado sugar, balanced beautifully with whisps of earthy peat smoke and waves of elegant, coastal maritime tones'

This is a UK Exclusive and only 231 bottles have been produced- we have 3 available! Online and on the shelves now.

Latest releases from Living Souls:
- Torabhaig 7 Year Old from 1st fill bourbon barrels. 'A dram made for long evenings, full of flavour and lively conversation.'
- 'Lagmore' 10 Year Old Speyside blended malt- which is mostly 10 year old Speyside single estate malt, matured in first fill bourbon barrels

Here are the new Cask Series No. 26 North Star Spirits single malts that arrived last week:
1. Secret Highland 15 Year Old from a single refill hogshead- one of 302 bottles produced. Notes of custard, pear drops and oiliness.

2. Secret Speyside 15 Year Old from a single sherry hogshead- one of 232 bottles produced. Notes of date syrup and sour cherry soup. Also notes 'This isn't like no Speyside we've had before!' Intriguing..

3. Secret Island 13 Year Old from a single refill hogshead- one of 324 bottles produced. Caramelised apples on a BBQ, big bowl of cinnamon grahams.

4. Secret Islay 12 Year Old from a red wine hogshead- one of 324 bottles produced. Jam packed with red fruits fallen into a peat bog, tannic and lip smackingly tasty.

Just arrived from we have two single cask whiskies:
1. 10 Year Old Dailuaine, finished in a fresh Tequila barrel. Only 261 bottles produced.
2. 10 Year Old Aberfeldy, fully matured in a refill bourbon barrel. Only 207 bottles produced.

For any fans of The GlenAllachie, this is a treat for you- The GlenAllachie 21 Year Old Batch 6.
'The apex of luxury' is how it is described, along with 'dark chocolate, dried red berries and maraschino cherries, followed by heather honey and crystalised ginger, with plum brandy and mocha on the finish'

You know this is going to be something special.

Delighted to welcome back Infrequent Flyers to the shelves- an indie bottler that we know bottles some absolutely beautiful whisky.
All from single casks, this time round, we've got:

- Ben Nevis 13 Year Old finished in a recioto della valpolicella (it's an Italian sweet red dessert wine) hogshead. 'Apple and raisin strudel, with butterscotch and Muscovado sugar. A touch of red grapes. Underpinned by cinnamon spice'. Only 299 bottles produced.

- Glenglassaugh 10 Year Old finished in a Sauternes hogshead. 'Viscous, rich and intense, to be expected given the whisky has spent more than half of its life in a Sauternes cask. The bold sweetness of Demerara sugar and soft caramel share top billing with tangy apricot marmalade, allspice and ginger.' Only 309 bottles produced.

- Blair Athol 17 Year Old from a fresh oak barrel. 'Crunchy nut cornflakes, toasted coconut chips and NYC street cart honey-roasted peanuts' Only 230 bottles produced.
