We’re delighted to welcome Darren McCormick, Lochlea Distillery Manager, to Dumfries on Friday 5th June for an exclusive Lochlea masterclass in our brand new on-site tasting room.

Darren will host three afternoon tasting sessions, each limited to just eight guests, offering an intimate and immersive tasting experience. Guests will enjoy five carefully selected drams, alongside the opportunity to take a deeper dive into the story, production and character of Lochlea Whisky — with plenty of opportunity to put your questions directly to Darren himself.

Our Beer Festival is back at the brewery — and it’s set to be our biggest one yet.

After everything over the past year, this feels like the first proper chance to get everyone together again and do it right.

We’ll be open as usual from 10am, with beer pouring from 11am.
Expect a full bar, a few things you won’t have seen for a while, burgers on all day, and an extra bar outside to keep things flowing.

Outlander star Sam Heughan headlines Stranraer Oyster Festival 2026 in a flagship Sunday afternoon event celebrating Galloway.

Sam's Spirit of Galloway session pairs his signature cocktails with dishes from celebrity chefs, inspired by the produce of our landscape and coastline.

Every celebrity chef from 2025 has chosen to come back for 2026. Tony Singh, Rosemary Shrager, Matt Tebbutt, Julie Lin are all returning to the Kitchen Marquee, alongside our amazing local chefs.

Stranraer Oyster Festival takes place from Friday 11 till Sunday 13 September 2026.

We are announcing the celebrity chef line-up early this year so that people can plan well in advance.

An expanded wider festival programme, all the events, activities and live music that are included as part of the festival admission, will be announced in June, and we are every bit as excited about that as we are about the celebrity line-up. After all, the community heart of this festival has always been what makes it special.
