We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Thomas (Tommy) Marr at the remarkable age of 88. Tommy served as Managing Director of TB Watson from 1965 until his retirement in 1998 and was the father and father-in-law of the current directors.

Under his leadership, the business evolved from four modest retail shops on English Street—offering gentlemen’s and ladies’ wear, to***co, barber services, and wines & spirits—into a significant wine and spirit wholesaler serving the South of Scotland and North West England.

Tommy was known for his firm but fair approach, his integrity, and his gentlemanly manner. He was highly respected and warmly regarded by both staff and customers.

His was truly a life well lived.
