🥳 It’s 🥳 and our Meet the Volunteer is 🌟 Dot 🌟
Dot has been with us since the very beginning and we asked her some questions about volunteering with us:
❓ When and why did you start volunteering with us?
💬 I moved into the village 8 years ago after living in Cheddar for many years.
I was still working part-time but I felt it would be good to get to know about the village.
I started volunteering at the very beginning of November 2019, and straight away felt welcome.
The community shop is a great place to meet people and get to know what is happening.
❓ What do you like about volunteering?
💬 What I like about volunteering is, if you feel you can only manage a couple of hours a week, you are doing good supporting your local community and everyone is always grateful for what you do.
❓ Which products from our range do you like?
💬 The shop supplies lots of lovely local products, and if you find you have unexpected guests arrive you can always get a variety of local cheese and add biscuits for a delicious cheese board.
Don't forget to buy a homemade cake for dessert!
