We have a vacancy for the position of Part-Time Post Office/Shop Assistant at Winfrith Village Stores.

This vacancy would suit someone looking for a few hours work each week in a friendly shop. The number of hours worked can be discussed at interview.

Some weekend working is an essential part of this role.

The successful applicant should be a team player supporting and working together with the rest of our team here. They should have a welcoming and helpful personality and be confident and able to work alone in the shop dealing with the various demands of a busy shop and post office.

Post Office and retail experience is not essential.
Duties include:-

• Dealing with various post office transactions – full training will be given
• Serving customers and dealing with queries
• Replenishment of stock and monitoring stock levels
• Dealing with deliveries of supplies to the shop
• Keeping the shop clean and well presented
• Opening and/or closing of the shop

Thank you to all those that have been patient during the past couple of weeks while we have been experiencing serious technical problems with the Post Office.

These problems have been completely out of our control and we are grateful to those of you that have supported us through this challenging time.

We are very pleased to say that we are hopeful that the Post Office have now rectified the infrastructure problems and service should be resumed tomorrow morning. There may be some teething problems as we re start operations but we hope that that these will all be minor issues.
Thanks again to those that remained patient.
