To celebrate the launch of their new 5 year old Single Grain Merchants’ Quay Irish Whiskey. The Copeland Distillery have given us a bottle and two whiskey tumblers to be given away to one of our lucky followers.

Copeland’s new 5 year old Single Grain Irish whiskey is bottled at 46% abv, is non chill filtered, has no added colour and has a unique blend of finishes. Aged in American bourbon barrels for 5 years before being finished in a Muscatel dessert wine hogshead and Pedro Ximénez sherry butt.
Tasting notes are as follows -

• Nose- bright with strong notes of sweet fleshy fruits, caramelised apple, demerara sugar with a hint of elderflower and jaffa cakes.
• Palate – Sweet and spicy with mandarin and orchard fruits, dates in dulce de leche, honey drizzled black cherries with a hint of warm oak, sweet custard and granola.
• Finish – Dry sherry, brown caster sugar and mild spice.
