Church Street Stores are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our team working on a flexible basis.

This will involve covering all shifts (including the Post Office) on a rota basis.

We expect the average weekly hours to be between 20 and 30 and you will know in advance which shift we need you to work

Ideally some retail experience would be preferred but full training including the Post Office will be provided.

Church Street Stores is looking for a reliable and hard-working Post Office Supervisor to join our friendly team. This is a full time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week, including some Saturday mornings.

The role will involve operating the Post Office counter in our store in Dolton, as well as operating our two Outreach Post Offices at Beaford and Atherington. Travel expenses for Outreaches will be covered but you will need your own transportation and a full UK driving licence. The Post Office Supervisor will also be responsible for the wider running of the Post Office with duties such as; recruiting and training staff, ensuring staff coverage, arranging holiday cover, liaising with the Post Office organisation when necessary, completing monthly balances and ensuring adequate stock levels.

The Post Office operates as an on-demand service, and so the Post Office Supervisor will be a fully trained member of the shop floor staff. They will provide assistance in the convenience store when not required in the Post Office, and these duties will include: serving customers, checking and unloading deliveries, stock rotation and replenishment, and other duties as required.

An ideal candidate will be Post Office trained, or willing to attend in-person training at a Post Office facility (travel expenses covered), and have previous convenience experience.
