We now have some slabs of home-made "Bread Pudding" for sale in the shop. After talking to some in the village, this is an unheard of item and was sometimes confused with bread-and-butter pudding. It could not be further from it.

Definition~~ a rich heavy cake or put in mate from pieces of stale bread, soaked in milk and baked with eggs, sugar out dried fruit and spices eaten either hot or cold.

This is commonly available in bakeries in the south and exceedingly filling and moreish so beware 😋
