How’s the weather suiting you ? ☀️

We’ve enjoyed seeing everyone who has been into the shop over the last few days. We were constantly filling up the shelves, fridges & freezers. We did a big re-stock on Tuesday after the Bank Holiday weekend and we’re receiving more deliveries today and there was some very early sandwich making going on during this morning’s thunderstorm.

That is all our rooms ready for another group of walkers to arrive later today.

We have 3 rooms, all can be either King or Twin rooms. All our rooms come with a fully cooked breakfast in the mornings.

If it’s taken you by surprise it’s good to know that we sell sun cream, after sun cream and cooling spray 🥵☀️

And if you’re being plagued by midges etc we also sell insect repellent lotion and wipes 🦟

So far so good with the weather for the Bank Holiday weekend and school half term.
It’s lovely to see the village busy with people; both locals and visitors.
Did you know that not only do we sell fresh food, homemade cakes, grocery items, beers, wines & spirits we also have a range of toys to play with out in the sunshine and if the weather changes you can buy playing cards and UNO.

The Bank Holiday Weekend is almost upon us. If you are thinking about what to have for tea/dinner one evening why don’t you come into the shop and pick up Mrs Darlington’s Sausages in Red Onion Gravy recipe card, we have all the ingredients you need to make this delicious meal.

We’ve “road tested” the recipe twice and I think it’s going to become a firm favourite.
