👋 Introducing Our Team - Willow 👋

We are continuing to celebrate our 30th anniversary of Presents Of Dawlish, by introducing our lovely team of ladies who keep the shop open 7 days a week for most of the year.

🐈 Hello from Willow!

Willow is our newest member of the team, she is a student at Dawlish College and came to us for her work experience placement in February.

We were all really impressed with how lovely she is, great with our customers and fit in really well with the team - always ready to get stuck in!
I offered Willow a Sunday job at the end of her work experience week and we all look forward to working with her more over the summer.

Plus, she gets the craze of some of our newer product lines in the shop; squishy dumplings, cubes & butter - which is completely beyond the rest of us!

Willow’s favourite product in the shop is the cat building blocks, because she has been doing lego all of her life and loves cats.

We are continuing to celebrate our 30th anniversary of Presents Of Dawlish, by introducing our lovely team of ladies who keep the shop open 7 days a week for most of the year.

🧚‍♀️ Hello from Marianne!

Marianne, was introduced to us by her good friend, Eric, who had worked with us over several years at weekends and school holidays. Great recommendation!

Marianne immediately made herself very useful by explaining to me what a Labubu doll was and how popular they were. Thanks to Marianne, we had our best line of the year! Never got it myself. She is also known as Miss Organised!

Marianne's favourite products are our birthstone fairies which she & her sister bought with their own money when they came down to Dawlish on holiday when they were young children

👋 Hello from Anne

Originally from Nottingham, Anne has been with us for the last 5 years after a career in the hotel industry.

Anne runs the card and chocolate side of the shop, often to be seen pricing up multiple cards and then trying to work out where on earth to put them 🤣 my bad!!

Anne's favourite item in the shop.... Gremlins!
For her love of 80/90's nostalgia & representation of her love of Christmas films.

🎉🥳 Today’s The Day! 🥳🎉

Today our lovely gift shop Presents Of Dawlish turns 30 years old and to celebrate we would like to invite you all to celebrate with us in the shop today with complimentary fizz and cake!

There will also be a raffle whereby everyone who spends over £5 today, will be in with a chance to win a fabulous hamper.

10% of our takings today will be donated to Dawlish Community Transport, a fantastic local charity providing much needed transportation and companionship to many members of our community.

We look forward to celebrating with you all!

👋 Introducing Our Team - Celeste 👋

In the lead up to our Presents Of Dawlish 30th birthday tomorrow, we thought it would be nice to introduce our lovely team of ladies who keep the shop open 7 days a week for most of the year.

🛁 Hello from Celeste!

Celeste first worked for us when we opened the shop in 1996 having previously worked in Present Time. She left to follow a career with the Inland Revenue and returned to Presents 5 years ago, after a fluke conversation at the COVID vaccination station.

Celeste is our busy bee! If she hasn’t got boxes in her arms, she's flying about with a duster.

Celeste is also the instigator of ‘Fat Friday’ where we all share an Iced Sally cake every Friday in the shop, even our reps and delivery drivers join in with the tradition!

Celeste loves our range of soaps, bath bombs and bath sponges. Why? They are vegan friendly so make perfect presents for all of your friends and family and of course yourself!

Plus they make the shop smell delicious 💐

In the lead up to the Presents Of Dawlish 30th anniversary on Friday, we thought it would be nice to introduce our lovely team of ladies who keep the shop open 7 days a week for most of the year.

💎 Hello from Tina!

Tina, like Lynsey, joined the team almost 9 years ago after moving to Dawlish from Essex.

Tina, is our Queen of icing and is brilliant at personalising our Thornton's chocolate wine bottles and hearts, she's always happy to ice a special message for you!

On the days Tina is working, there is always a warm laugh echoing around the shop and she always makes us smile. 😁

Tina’s favourite item in our shop is the Byzantium paua shell range of jewellery, she loves to wear a combination of silver and the beautiful blue / green colour of the paua shell.

👋 Introducing Our Team - Lynsey 👋

In the lead up to the Presents Of Dawlish 30th anniversary on Friday, we thought it would be nice to introduce our lovely team of ladies who keep the shop open 7 days a week for most of the year.

🧸Hello from Lynsey! 🍯

Lynsey moved to Dawlish from Coventry nine years ago and has worked at Presents ever since.

She has become my right hand man and we are often mistaken for each other! After the mother's day post when my Mum (Pam) and I posed outside the shop, several people told Lynsey what a nice photo it was of her and her mum!

Lynsey can generally be found at the back till making sure all is good in the shop for both customers and staff alike. Everyone needs a Lynsey!

Lynsey's favourite product? Easy, it's got to be Winnie the Pooh who she has loved ever since she was a little girl and you’ll often see her wearing a Winnie the Pooh jumper in the shop.

👋 Introducing Our Team - Ali 👋

In the lead up to the Presents Of Dawlish 30th anniversary on Friday, we thought it would be nice to introduce our lovely team of ladies who keep the shop open 7 days a week for most of the year.

I’ll go first!

Hello, my name is Ali and I own the shop alongside my parents Pam and Pete, it has been an amazing 30 years and I still love going to work!

Many of you will remember that before we took over the shop, it was called Present Time… and I worked there too.

It is such a privilege to work alongside my parents and our staff, past and present (even my sons). Thank you to our wonderful customers from our loyal locals, many of whom have become friends, and all of our visitors - no day is ever the same!

The products we have stocked over the 30 years have changed immensely from Cherished Teds to Betty Boop, the singing Billy Bass to last year's craze, Labubus! This year seems to be all about squishy butter, dumplings & cubes! My current fave is our range of stormtroopers, a must for every Star Wars fan!

🎉🥳 Our 30th Birthday Party 🥳🎉

This coming Friday marks the 30th anniversary of opening our lovely gift shop Presents Of Dawlish on The Strand in Dawlish.

As a family run independent business, it continues to be a true privilege to serve the community in our hometown and long may it continue!

To celebrate, we would like to invite you all to a celebration in the shop throughout the day on Friday 22nd May, where there will be complimentary fizz and cake.

There will also be a raffle whereby everyone who spends over £5 on the day, will be in with a chance to win a fabulous hamper.
