What a wonderful night we had last night Hark! The Sound of Stories: feat. Amelia Coburn A massive thank you to the capacity crowd that came along to Darlington Libraries for giving our poetry reader and two excellent musicians Emma Robson and Amelia Coburn your full attention.
We hope you enjoyed the spectacular acoustics of Crown Street Library and our pop up soft drinks bar!

Deer Shed are thrilled to be bringing back our ‘Apply to Play’ artist development programme.

We're so proud to be able to give emerging Northern talent a platform to share their music with the Deer Shed community – and the chosen artist will be supported in the next steps of their career 🫶

This year we've partnered with EMI North - the UK’s first major label office based outside of London in the UK. They have a very simple goal: to support and invest in artists and creatives across the North of the UK, helping them to find new audiences and build their careers 🧡

This opportunity is exclusively open to artists based in the North; we welcome applications from artists coming from underrepresented backgrounds and we enjoy all music; Deer Shed prides itself on the diversity of genres on the line up. 🦌

As an organisation Tracks is signed up to the PRS Foundation Keychange pledge. We always strive to have at least 50/50 representation across Last Train Home Festival and our other events and love championing women and gender minorities in music through project. There has been a rise in female representation in the industry over the last couple of years but with gender pay gaps, under representation in senior roles and only 18% of successful songs being written by women, we still have a way to go. Here is a small selection of the absolutely epic women we have brought to Darlington over the years, see who you can spot! Community music is a big part of what we do at Tracks and on a super sunny day last Friday Francoise Harvey and Sarah Wilson headed to Cockerton Library Darlington Libraries to deliver a fun Musical Memories session. Some fabulous singing along was done by the group, we even got tea and biscuits too- bonus! Join us THIS SATURDAY 11am-12pm for the second of our In Discussion with events at Darlington Hippodrome in celebration of the upcoming . We will be welcoming award winning Newcastle comedian for a chat. Lauren’s career has so far has seen her selling out shows at Edinburgh Fringe, making TV appearances on BBC1, Comedy Central and Radio 4. She has performed internationally and been tour support for Katherine Ryan, Jason Manford, Kerry Godliman, Jason Manford and more! Join us to find out more about Lauren’s journey into comedy and hear stories of how she has navigated the traditionally male dominated live comedy scene. Our very own Francoise Harvey will be on interviewing duties this time so come join us for a Saturday morning of cuppas, chats and maybe a bit of comedy too.
