We would like to make other shops aware of a scammer claiming to be Darlington Borough Council.

We had a call from somebody telling us that our Alcohol License has expired and we have to pay for an interim license for us to continue to sell it, luckily we know when ours is next due and quickly realised it was a scam. We have contacted Darlington Borough Council and they have asked us to make other shops aware so they don’t fall for this.
