Today we said farewell to Caden, who is travelling to Thailand for 6 months on a sponsorship to further his career in Muay Thai boxing! Until recently, Caden was ranked number UK number 6 in his weight class.

We are going to miss Caden, who has been working in the shop for 3 years, and is one of the most patient, easy going people to work with. Always a hard worker, it has been great to see his confidence and skills grow during that time.

We are all wishing Caden the very best of success, hope he has a truly great time and look forward to seeing him when he returns.

Fantastic vegetables!

Locally grown near Lennoxtown, chemical free, ecologically produced, the flavour and textures are amazing.

Arun will be familiar to most of our customers and has been with us since we took over the shop in 2017.

Sadly however, today was his last day, having made the decision that it was time to retire. We are all going to miss Arun, who always has a cheery smile, a wicked sense of humour, cheeky chat and makes a killer pakora!

Arun’s working life has been remarkable and varied, extending over 60+ years, we are happy that he chose to spend the last 9 years working with us. We are truly grateful for his loyalty, support, boundless enthusiasm and energy.

The good news is that Arun has agreed to put in guest appearances!

Above all, we would like to say thank you to Arun and extend our very best wishes for the next chapter.

PS The shop will be closing early on Wednesday 13 May at 6:30pm, for the first time in 9 years to have an evening out to mark Arun’s retiral.
