It is with great sadness that we announce that tonight Mal, Aman and Joga will close the shutters on the One Stop Mount Nod store (formerly the Londis store next door) for the final time. We'd like to thank you all for the support we have received over the past 32 years.

When our late father/husband Bal came across a closed store in Mount Nod he felt he'd discovered something special. He wasn't wrong and we have been able to call this 'hidden gem' within Coventry our home too for much of our time running the shop. The boys went to school at Mount Nod Primary and Woodlands School like many of you too. It truly is a special area and community and we will cherish the memories and laughs we have shared.

Our time running the shop hasn't been without its highs and lows but as in life we continued to put one foot in front of the other and keep striving on. That's been made much easier and the burden lightened with the support of the local community especially when Bal passed away. It was with great pride we were able to fulfil his vision and dream with the opening of the new One Stop at the end of the parade in February 2016. Now nearly a decade on its time for Mal to retire and the boys pursue new paths.

We would also like to thank our staff past and present and our partners One Stop and formerly Londis for their support and loyalty over the years.

It's good to have an end to journey towards but it's the journey that matters in the end.

P.S This Sunday we will be holding an event next door at Love A Latte to say thank you to the local community, so feel free to pop in between 11am-1pm to enjoy a drink and snack with us. Also it will be a chance to meet the new owners.

Anyone wishing to collect some cases of Lucozade Energy free of charge for their charity, club or community group please do so before 9pm tonight. Emergency service workers can also feel free to pop down.

🔵 CHARITY DRIVE 2025 🔵

Thanks to our friends at Suntory GB&I we have been donated a pallet of Lucozade Energy Blue Burst to give away in our local community.

We have kept back allocations for the regular organisations we support but we welcome anyone else who is part of a local charity, community group or sports club to pop down to the shop tonight or tomorrow to claim 2 cases (24 bottles). No children's clubs as this is a energy drinks product.

All we ask is that you are OK to have a photo taken and could be wearing or holding something related to the charity, group or club. Unfortunately we can't save or put aside cases for later.
