A NOT-SO-NICE POST, BUT ONE THAT NEEDS SAYING.
Shoplifting is, unfortunately, something shop owners face day in, day out. And honestly it saddens us that some people think it’s perfectly acceptable to simply help themselves to things that don’t belong to them.
This individual clearly thinks it’s okay to help himself. Let us make one thing very clear: IT IS NOT OKAY.
We’re an independent, family-run business. Every single item stolen comes at a cost, and those costs quickly add up. It’s not just about the financial loss; it’s about the impact on our staff, who shouldn’t have to deal with this behaviour, and on businesses like ours that work incredibly hard to serve our local community.
We put our heart and soul into Nisa Claydons. We work hard to keep our shop clean, tidy, well-stocked and competitively priced for our customers. We do this because we care about our business and our community. Having people walk in and help themselves is both frustrating and incredibly disheartening.
📹 We have excellent CCTV coverage throughout Nisa Claydons, and EVERY SINGLE THEFT IS REPORTED.
So please, take heed. You may think that nobody is watching …. you are very wrong.
Support your local independent businesses. We’re here for our community, but we shouldn’t have to absorb the cost of someone else’s dishonesty.
Shoplifting is not a victimless crime. It affects real people, real families and real livelihoods.
Rant over. But something that needed saying. 💔
