Looking for a fun, free day out for all the family? We are hosting a Nature Fair and BioBlitz fun filled event so come along to Astley Park and get involved in a hands on day of learning and supporting local wildlife 🌍

🕘 Event begins at 11am until 4pm with the Nature Fair taking place at the Walled Gardens and the BioBlitz taking place across the park.

What’s a BioBlitz?
It’s a fun, interactive event where people work together to find and record as many plants and wildlife species as possible in one day 🐞🌸

Whether you’re a seasoned nature expert or completely new to wildlife spotting, it’s a fantastic chance to:
🌱 Explore nature on your doorstep
🔍 Learn how to identify different species
📱 Use the iNaturalist app to record your findings
🌍 Contribute to real conservation work and a national biodiversity database
👩‍🔬 Local conservationists, ecologists and volunteers will be on hand to guide you and help you get involved.

Alongside the BioBlitz, enjoy our Nature Fair, packed with activities as well as food stalls.

It’s World Refill Day! And as I hinted yesterday, this year we’re going to do things a little differently. Rather than focus on what food and liquid refills you can get at the shop, we wanted to share some of the home and beauty products you can refill - and what better to celebrate that than with a competition! You could win everything pictured in this basket: a Scrubber Dry Shampoo, a Fussy Deodorant Refill, Oceansaver pod of your choice, a refill of SESI Fig Hand Wash, a Car Reed Diffuser, an Ecoegg refill, a reusable cotton food refill bag and a refill of Himalayan Bath Salts! One year ago today an idea of how we could utilise the shop floor space better became a reality! I really don’t know how we coped so long without it before - it’s allowed us to add SO many new food lines and keep stock levels in check - even if it means I’m constantly moving things round! Sorry!! 😂
