Shop open now till 12 noon

Next Saturday, Halloween, I'll be holding my annual Firepit, Marshmallows and Mulled W**e 'do'

It'll start it at 5pm and finish at 7/7.15pm depending on when the Marshmallows and W**e (sounds like a good title for a song) run out

Morning All, Happy Sunday

It comes as a nice suprise to some visitors that we sell local bacon and sausages ( not forgetting the honey and ales!)

We love supporting other local businesses, it's an important part of being a community shop.

Dont forget that you can buy these items here. The ales and honey have a longer shelf life but the fresh stuff, for obvious reasons, doesn't and there are only so many toad in the holes and sausage and mash that my family can eat!!!

No idea as yet when they will be arriving. This will affect Tesco as well as they are on the same delivery route

The ladies in our village knit & natter group are planning a display of poppies for Remembrance Sunday. They have been knitting & crocheting for some months now & although they have in the region of 600 poppies so far, they need more! Is there anyone out there who would like to join them in their mission? Either at the Castle pub, Great Leighs, on Mondays (newcomers are always welcome) or from the comfort of your own home.
Poppies of any size (most of theirs are between 10-12cm) knitted, crocheted or made from fabric would be very welcome. It would be lovely if we could make it a real community project to honour the fallen of our village.
I'm a drop off point here at the shop for any poppies made.
