Warning: my photo does not do this justice. But I had to share this absolutely stunning painting we were given today — it genuinely left us speechless (which is saying something)!

Running a village shop can be chaotic, exhausting and relentless at times, but moments like this make it all worthwhile. To have one of our lovely and incredibly talented customers, Shaun B Keefe, see the shop in such a warm and thoughtful way was really quite special.

The artwork itself is stunning, but the written reflection alongside it completely stopped us in our tracks.

“Something deeply human in the rhythm of it, in being known, and knowing others.”

That line especially chimes with the thrum of our village beat.

We’re still smiling every time we look at it. It’s such a lovely reminder that people really do value the small things, the personal touches and the sense of community that village shops are all about.

Thank you Shaun, truly, for creating something so thoughtful, beautiful and personal. We will treasure it.

From all of us at Cerne Abbas Stores 💕

World’s best sparkling w**e?
Made in Dorset. 🍾

You don’t need to head to the vineyard…
(though if you haven’t been, it really is worth the trip.)

And yes, of course — we have the full range in stock.

Mother’s Day is nearly here… just saying. 🌸🥂

A great feature on Langham W**e Estate — and very well deserved.

By pushing boundaries, w**emaker Tommy Grimshaw is creating some of the best and most loved sparkling w**es in England (and the world) right here in…
