Lovely little tasting of some new vintages -the Chianti Classico 2022 delicious and quite forward and then a rare chance to try some of the legendary Brunello’s including the delicious albeit somewhat premium Brunello Riserva 2018. Lastly the delicious 2011 Vin Santo from Isole e Olena.

What a treat tasting with from today. A small but perfectly formed selection. We were all blown away by the Saint Joseph ‘Lieu Dit’ Blanc 2022- awesome wine. All the wines were showing beautifully and always a treat to taste one of the La La”s the delicious Côte Rôtie La Turque 2019 - impressive now - with years ahead. A famous name for sure - but clearly at the top of their game.

Christmas fizz 2 and another new one to us. Singular - 100% Chardonnay 77% from 2019 the balance from a ‘perpetual’ reserve. Lovely fresh style but with plenty of ripe fruit weight to it and a gently nutty finish - could age too.
