Gentlemen, does anyone on here know of, or indeed own, any type of British To***co Retailers Magazine issues, or some such publication? I don't know the exact name of said magazine, but I'm curious to find copies from the 80s or 90s that might contain an article regarding our shop in Buxton, featuring a previous owner of the shop. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, even if people would have an idea of the name of any such publication. Thank you!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that Appleyard's will, as every year, be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day. We'd also like to say a huge thank you to all our customers, and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We're sorry to inform our followers and customers that we've suffered criminal damage at Appleyard's To***conist in Buxton last night, around 8pm on Sunday the 12th November 2023. Our door was vandalised, but the perpetrator did not gain access to the shop. If anyone of our followers here on Facebook has any information regarding a person acting suspiciously at our establishment around 8pm last night, feel free to let us know via message or a visit to our shop. The person was caught on CCTV and Derbyshire Constabulary has been contacted. If any member of the public wishes to contact Derbyshire Constabulary regarding this case, the Occurence Reference Number is 23000702761, and the incident reference number is: INC 496 13/11/2023. As always, we are tremendously grateful for all support and help we get from our local community when these rather sad things happen, and all the support we get from our customers on a day to day basis hugely outweighs these unfortunate, but thankfully rare, incidents. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY AT Appleyard's To***conist Buxton On Tuesday morning, around 02.25am, a masked burglar attempted to gain entry to Appleyard's To***conist in Buxton. The attempt failed, and the perpetrator was caught on CCTV. A window was broken leading to a lot of glass splinters inside the shop, so the clean up of the area to make it safe for the public was the reason why we only opened at 12.15pm on Tuesday rather than 10am as we normally would. We are in touch with Derbyshire Police on this matter. According to sources close to us there has recently been an increase in similar attempts on businesses (as well as private properties) in the Buxton area, so feel free to share this post to encourage other people to stay vigilant to these risks. Our window has been repaired but the loss of business plus the cost of said window are unwelcome outgoings for a shop who just tries its best to serve the local community on a daily basis. If anyone has any information regarding individuals acting suspiciously in this area, on Tuesday morning around 2.25am, do get in touch with us at Appleyard's via Facebook messenger, any help is gratefully received.
