We don’t know how you lasted for the last couple of months (it was a struggle for us too) but the wait is over. 😀

For those that haven’t tried these wonderful wines made using Méthode Traditionnelle -

Amaluna Sparkling wine is light yellow in colour. Tiny chains of bubbles called rosaries rise to form a persistent ring at the surface. The nose offers fruity aromas of grapefruit, apple, pineapple, and notes of toast.

Amaluna Sparkling Rose has top notes of peach and nectarine jump from the glass in this beautiful, salmon-pink rosé sparkling wine. Lots of tension here, with lovely cranberry and raspberry flavours in the mouth combined with attractive notes of butter, cream and vanilla.

Wild & Wilder The Courtesan Riesling -

The Courtesan Riesling wine captures all the mouth-watering lime and elderflower character one expects from great Riesling. This wine has a voluptuous palate hinting at grapefruit, ripe melon and quince. Pair with white fish, Asian food that include ginger, lemongrass and coriander.

Working hand in hand with their merry (in a good season) band of growers, Thistledown craft wines of supreme quality but don’t take it all too seriously.

Great fruit, grown by great people and made with a lot of love by people that know that wine is all about the good times, delicious food and creating great memories. Founded by Giles Cooke MW & Fergal Tynan MW, who also make the Thistledown wines, the mundane is just not in their DNA. ***NEW WINE***

Domaine Klur Gentil de Katz.

A blend of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer from Alsace, Gentil de Katz wine has a fine bouquet of roses and lychee, excellent balance, minerality and body with a pleasant fruity mango note and lengthy finish. Alcoholic fermentation in cask with natural yeasts. No oak ageing.

Certified organic and following biodynamic practices, this small estate of just 7 hectares is nestled on steep slopes in the heart of Alsace.

Whilst Clement Klur is still very much involved at every stage from vine to bottle, he has now joined forces with his good neighbour, Leon Heitzmann, and their joint effort in the vineyards is reflected in the increasing quality of the wines. These vineyards are tranquil places, full of fruit trees dotted amongst the vines which attract and offer shelter to local wildlife. This symbiotic relationship helps maintain the health and balance of their land. The steep vineyards means the harvest is carried out by hand, allowing the pickers to be very selective and gentle in choosing the healthiest fruit to ensure that the resulting wine is always of the highest quality. All three grape varieties are planted in sandy and limestone soils in the valley below Katzenthal.

Friends, we need a little help...

We're looking for some people with a particular set of skills, on Saturday 14th June we're throwing our first ever straight up food festival. Our outside bar will be ready to go, Ella & Tom are going to town on the BBQ as always but we wanted to bring something bigger to the community, we want to invite some friends.

So we're on the hunt for food trucks, pizza vans, street food vendors, for bakers, for cheesemongers, pie makers, ice creamers(?) you name it, we want it so tag your suggestions below. If you can eat it we want to hear from them. We're going for broke with a full blown foodie village, we've got some class acts already booked in but we want to make this something real special. We've six stalls inside the pergola we want to pack full of independent culinary creators alongside a fleet of hot food options alongside our outside bar & naturally the hardest working food shed in Shawclough.

Throw in a little live music & fingers crossed some sunshine and we've get the makings of something ridiculous here Rochdale. If you've been to any of our other events over the years you'll know just what to expect, if you've not...where have you been?
