Look who’s back? A lovely surprise Clive and Kerry popped in today. They’ll be back at the helm in the White Lion Broadwindsor from Friday! Can’t wait to see them where they belong.

So it seems we make a great stop off point for cyclists needing a quick energy boost- this charming gent is making his way from Lands End to John O Groats. Luckily we had some suitable snacks and drinks available to help him on his way!

Guess who surprised Jane today? Fraser, without whom we probably wouldn’t have our wonderful shop. He lit the fuse and was the leading figure in our journey from a village with no shop to where we are today- a much loved community hub serving locals as well as passers by and holiday makers. Fraser no longer lives here but we are so glad to see him when he does pop back!
Today he met one of our latest and definitely our youngest volunteers who happened to be serving at the counter.

Here’s Amanda, one of our fabulous volunteers, sorting through the prescriptions delivery. No GP surgery volunteer was available last week to deliver so there’s rather more than usual! If you’ve been patiently waiting ( no pun intended 😆), do please pop in to collect yours. Perhaps spend a little money while you’re here….

We just love it when our customers tell us how much we are appreciated! This mornings very welcome comment:
“ We’d be lost without you for the basics we run out of and don’t want to have to drive in to town”
Thank you! It’s words like these, (and your pennies), that remind us why we continue working hard to keep our little shop open. It’s a bit corny we know but it really does boil down to that old saying “ use us or lose us”. 😊
