Today is the International Day of Charity, so it seems a good opportunity to say thank you to everyone who puts their spare change into the charity boxes beside our tills.

A few coins may not feel like very much at the time, but all those small donations soon add up—and they are very much appreciated by the charities concerned.

A quick Bank Holiday reminder:

🛒 The shop is open from 8.00am until 9.00pm today.
📮 The Post Office counter is closed.

The shop may be open for 13 hours, but apparently that still counts as a Bank Holiday. 😄

Apparently it is National Beach Day today, and the forecast seems determined to test everyone’s commitment.

After such a long dry spell, our gardens and the farmers are desperate for rain—even if those hoping for one final sunny beach day before school starts might have preferred it to arrive next week.

Still, pack the swimming costumes, waterproofs, towels, sun cream and possibly a flask. This is Pembrokeshire: you may need all of them before lunchtime. 😄
