Well, what a change in the weather!

The sunshine has been absolutely fantastic for the shop this summer. We've had a brilliant season on the seafront, and I'm so grateful to every single customer who has stopped by, bought some rock and supported the business. It really does mean a lot.

But then I go home to my horses… and I've been praying for rain!

They've really struggled with the heat, drought and lack of grass this year, and the fields have suffered badly too. So seeing some proper rain finally arrive has been a huge relief.

It's been a funny summer — loving the sunshine for the shop while desperately needing rain for the horses!

Now, if we could just have rain overnight and sunshine during the day, that would be perfect. The horses get what they need, the fields can recover and Brighton stays sunny!

We're still open and still selling the best rock in Brighton — and every purchase helps support the shop, which in turn helps support my four senior horses too!

🎓🍬 Our lovely Erin graduated today!!

We’ve been lucky enough to have her working with us for the last two summers, and she’s been an absolute joy to have in the shop.

Thank you for all the hard work, the smiles and putting up with all the madness! 😂

We’re sad you’ll be leaving us at the end of next month, but so proud of you and everything you’ve achieved. 💜

Thank you for all the laughs, hard work and memories — you’ve been such a big part of our summers and you’ll be missed more than you know. 🍭✨

It's July and that means one thing, we all complain about the heat/cold/rain/lack of rain. We are so predictable in the UK that all we do is moan about the weather.
But there is a cool breeze expected on Brighton seafront this weekend so pop down to cool off. And here is todays secret of avoiding those expensive parking charges. Brighton Marina has free parking, yeh it's true, you can park for free at the marina with very good bus service back into town.
And when it all gets too hot, both our shops have air con so pop in and say hello, if only to cool down!

Hi everyone. Well, Brighton seafront is rather warm this week, although the sea breeze is welcome. But if you're struggling with the heat pop into the shop. Our shop and stock room and both fully air conditioned to keep all our products fresh. We do feel for the staff in other shops, stuck in high temperatures with their stock melting in the heat.

Hi to everyone who is cycling down from London on Sunday 21st June. All seems so good, that wild trip across Ditchling Common, and then you see the Beacon. The tall hill in front of you. But good news, beyond that it's a long, long downhill sweep through the south downs.
So don't forget to pop in and see us for your sugar rush and, for those staying over Sunday night, we open at 9am Monday morning.

Just a quick heads up for anyone planning a trip into Brighton tomorrow.

As many of you will already know, there are demonstrations planned in the city which may lead to larger crowds, travel delays and general disruption throughout the day.

We're planning to open as normal and will be here serving up Brighton rock, sweets and seaside goodies as usual. However, the safety and wellbeing of our team will always come first. If we feel the situation outside the shop becomes unsafe or too disruptive, we may choose to temporarily close our doors until things settle down.

Whether you're visiting Brighton, working in the city, taking part in events, or steering well clear of them altogether, please look after yourselves, be respectful of one another, and stay safe. 💜

Brighton weather today is fully unhinged 🌧️💨
Like the sky woke up, chose violence, and then forgot what season it is.

Wind is doing parkour down the seafront, rain is coming in sideways, and I’m pretty sure I just saw someone’s umbrella submit a resignation letter.

Honestly… I don’t blame you for not being here. I’d rather not be here either.

I cannot put into words how excited I am about this!
We are now very proudly stocking vegan fudge, but not just any vegan fudge...
I spotted The Fudge Patch down in the Lanes in Brighton and instantly got curious. We've had customers asking for vegan fudge quite often, so I decided to reach out to Patch himself.
Fast forward to meeting the man of the hour, sampling his fudge... and honestly, it was hard to say no.
Before it even made it into my shop, it had the full approval process: sampled and signed off by my staff AND tested by my own parents and my grandma! The OG Rock Shop owners! (So you know it's serious!)
Handmade almost daily in Brighton...proper vegan slab fudge made using real hands (their words, not mine!)
And Patch himself? He represents his fudge perfectly - genuinely one of the most likeable, passionate people you'll meet.
So of course... we had to stock it.
