As a little community shop, we strive to keep our prices as low as we possibly can for you, outside of making sure we generate enough money to pay the utility bills, cost of stock etc. We understand everyone is under financial pressure, and to try and help with that, we are stocking lower cost staple products / non essential products, alongside costlier brand names. For instance we stock the following:

Did you know that you could make a cooked breakfast (bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans) for 4 people for under £10 thats £2.50 per head.
We have switched to Jacks plain and self raising flour
We carry Bobby’s crisps and cakes as well as Walkers crisps and name brand cakes and biscuits. Where soft drinks and confectionary are concerned we have a mixture of price marked and non price marked items too. We’re not price matching with Aldi / Lidl, but we are still trying be as competitive as is possible whilst being on your doorstep and providing a level of convenience. We will always say to you that if there is a product we don’t have but can stock (even with your name on so to speak) that we’re happy to get it in for you if it helps keep this shop viable. What with the cost of living crisis and the hike in fuel prices which are only going to get worse, you could walk to us (which is free 😁) and buy your tea bags, bread, milk, butter, eggs, meat and not forgeting poo paper 💩etc
This shop can only stay open if we’re competitive and have the support of the village using it. If everyone in the village spent just £1 in this shop daily, it would secure the shops future forever 😄.
We are also trying to reach out to those people in our village that maybe don’t realise that we’re competitively priced and possibly shop elsewhere for that reason. We are going to list our products and post office services and carry out a leaflet drop to reach those people. Please spread the word to keep our little shop alive and thriving ❤️
