Sue and I will be at the Flower Show on Sunday August 1st to raise money for the Village Hall. We will have our famous Water into Wine stall. This is not as miraculous as it sounds!!
For £2 a go, 3 goes for £5, you may select a carefully wrapped bottle which may or may not be full. If you choose a full one you win the bottle of wine. Alternatively you may choose from a selection of soft drinks.

***YOUR COMMUNITY SHOP NEEDS YOU!! ****

We still desperately need volunteers for weekend shifts and weekday shifts in order to keep this valuable service open for everyone. We all work so hard here to ensure we have a good range of products and to attempt to keep the shop and post office open for as many hours as possible. But we can’t do this without your help. If we don’t have volunteers covering certain times of the day, we will have to close, and in order to remain viable financially and to ensure this shops future, we cannot afford to close regularly. If any one has a few hours to spare a week, just a few, it would make all the difference to this shop and the community. Presently we are stretched, and volunteers are doubling up for shifts when ideally we would just need people in just once a week during the week and once every 4 weeks for the weekends; unless you enjoy it so much you would like to do more. It’s really not difficult to learn, some shifts are with one of the managers, and others are working alone but we are always on the other end of the phone or can pop up if there is a problem. Please consider helping us out. It’s actually really sociable, you’ll meet new people and make new friends. We try and make things here as light hearted as possible.
