This collaborative venture sees an old abattoir lovingly updated to become a Turton focal point providing locals, visitors and wine lovers alike with an interesting wine experience that delivers on our passion for unusual but delicious wines.

UK Government Duty Tax rise 🙃
In August 2023 the UK Government implemented a new system broadly calculating alcohol duty based on a drink’s strength. They called it a ‘temporary easement’ meaning the price of wine went up, but it was a blanket increase. However from the 1st February 2025, this ‘easement’ will now come to an end, with another duty tax rise based on individual ABV bands.
We tried to absorb the first duty rise as much as we could, however this time round it’s become increasingly more difficult. Where we can, we will once again try to absorb some of the price rises, but ultimately we’ve been left with no another choice but to increase the price of some of our wines.
This rise is going to impact a lot of small businesses like ourselves. It’s extremely disheartening and completely out of our hands, so please make sure to be kind and respectful to us small independents at this time.
We pride ourselves on our non-stuffy approach, will always go the extra mile to help you find the perfect tipple and can guarantee that none of our wines are stocked in supermarkets. We really hope that our personal shopping experience and expert wine knowledge will still encourage our amazing customers to visit our fabulous shop & bar.

Must be over 18, have at least 1 years bar service experience, great team spirit, an eye for detail and excellent customer service skills!
Shifts will vary but are likely to be 1 or 2 days over Friday, Saturday & Sundays, varying start times to latest Midnight to cover a variety of events (Wine Tastings & private functions etc ) - Part-time.
If proven to have a keen interest in the business, there will be opportunities to further your wine training and career.
