The latest crop of bin-ends from Douglas Laing is now live on our website!

This batch includes a varied selection of over 50 single malt and grain whiskies from all regions of Scotland. For this particular release, we have concentrated solely on Douglas Laing’s Old Particular series.

The Old Particular series is their mid-aged range of premium single cask whiskies. Most of these bottlings are from refill casks, allowing you to experience the raw characteristics of the distillery's spirit—a profile that is increasingly rare today.

Signatory has just dropped their latest releases, featuring five exceptional additions to their 100-Proof series, three Cask Strength Collections, and four Symington's Choices.

Highlights from the latest 100-Proof series has to be the Exceptional Cask series #16, a 17-year-old 2008 vintage Speyside (M). This marks the third Speyside (M) release under this series and has been fully matured in 1st fill Oloroso sherry butts. While the distillery remains technically undisclosed, these Speyside (M) bottlings feature a distinct flavour profile that is widely noted to taste just like Macallan.

A standout from the Cask Strength Collection has to be the 2014 vintage Aberfeldy, matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt. Notably, this is the first Aberfeldy from Signatory Vintage that we have ever stocked.

Furthermore, Mr. Symington has personally selected four new single casks for his special label, Symington's Choice. These include a 17-year-old Balmenach, a 25-year-old Glenallachie, and two distinct 30-year-old Fettercairns.

Additionally, Signatory have bottled a very special bottle in celebration of the Tartan Army. A portion of the proceeds from every bottle sold will be donated to the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal.

Finally there's two new small-batch releases from Edradour: a 10-year-old matured in 1st fill Sauternes casks and a 12-year-old matured in Burgundy wine casks. These are not finishes, but rather full-term maturation.

Highlights of this bumper outturn include a quartet of 30-year-old sherried Speysides bottled for the prestige Symington’s Choice series from the likes of Linkwood and Glen Grant, and Cask Strength Collection single casks from Aberlour, Benriach, Glen Ord and Speyside (M).

There’s also a pair of bargain teenage single grain whiskies from North British and Port Dundas, both of which are part-sherried, and four new Signatory 100-Proof bottlings including young heavily-peated small batches from Ledaig and Ben Nevis and Signatory’s first ever 100-Proof Clynelish - a 10-year-old bottled from a small batch of refill Oloroso sherry and new wood hogshead casks.

There’s seven splendid new drams to choose from, with featured distilleries including Deanston, Glenrothes, Loch Lomond’s Inchfad and Allt-A-Bhainne - the Infrequent Flyers are definitely living up to their name with this outturn.

The majority of these interesting drams have been finished in a variety of exotic casks - everything from Pedro Ximenez sherry to ruby port via Moscatel fortified wine, the punchy Italian red wine Recioto di Valpolicella and new oak, but there’s one exception in the highlight from this crop: a Glen Keith 1993 from a refill bourbon barrel, the oldest single malt ever bottled for the Infrequent Flyers.

These splendid Infrequent Flyers are all gracing our New Arrivals page right now - and we've still got a dozen or so top class back issues from the Infrequent Flyer series available on our site - but they’re unlikely to be hanging around for too long, so don’t delay if you see something you like!

It's time to unveil the first official bottling from the Aberargie distillery! Aberargie Inaugural has been in the works for a long time - the distillery began distillation back in 2017 - but good things come to those who wait, and now the wait is over!

Aberargie is an independent Lowland distillery built by the Morrison family, who owned Bowmore, Auchentoshan and Glen Garioch before selling the Morrison Bowmore company to Suntory in the 1990s. The whisky that Brian and Jamie Morrison are making at Aberargie is deeply traditional: Aberargie is a field to glass operation, making spirit distilled from Golden Promise and Laureate barley grown on the family's farms and matured entirely in first fill sherry and bourbon casks.

This Aberargie Inaugural release is a mix of 50-50 bourbon and sherry cask whiskies distilled from 52% Golden Promise and 48% Laureate barley. Golden Promise is a famous heritage barley strain, which was used at both Macallan and Karuizawa back in their heydays, so this will be a very flavoursome dram.

We're sure there's much more to come from Aberargie, but in the meantime if you fancy one of these historic first official Inaugural releases you'll probably need to be quick...

We’ve just listed a string of new Infrequent Flyers single cask whiskies from Alistair Walker Whisky Co.!

This latest crop from the Falkirk-based bottlers encompass half a dozen or so top class drams, with casks from vintages ranging between 2002 and 2012 from distilleries including Linkwood, Teaninich and ‘Undisclosed Orkney’.

These whiskies have been finished in a variety of casks including Marsala and Madeira hogsheads, a ruby port cask and a Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon, so there’s definitely something for everyone in this eclectic selection from Infrequent Flyers - you might need to be quick if you see something you like…

These latest gems from the Glaswegian indie bottlers are a treat for fans of Highland single malts, with cask strength whiskies from Ben Nevis, Glen Garioch, Balblair and Dalmore among others, and there’s even an 18-year-old Invergordon 2007 Highland single grain whisky to boot.

A.D. Rattray’s owners the Morrison family also have their own Lowland distillery, Clydeside, on the banks of the river in Glasgow, and we’re delighted to also be listing their rare small batch peated Lowland single malt whisky too: Clydeside Fortnight, which is named for the two weeks of the year dedicated to smoky whisky production.

Stock of all these Rattray releases is scarce, however, so don’t delay if you see something you like…

We’ve just added a slew of recent bottlings from top class indie bottlers Signatory Vintage!

Signatory are still celebrating the 200th Anniversary of their Edradour distillery, and we’ve got a nice selection of their latest commemorative releases, including a pair of remarkable 35-year-old sister sherry casks from the 1989 vintage bottled as Edradour Enigma 1 and 2.

We’ve also got the latest batch of Edradour 12-year-old Cask Strength, a handful of the new Signatory 100-Proof Editions and a string of highly desirable Cask Strength Collection and Symington’s Choice bottlings including a 25-year-old Laphroaig 2000 and a 30-year-old Clynelish 1995.
