Turns out council does work on Saturdays because they popped in and also phoned to let me know that we are explicitly not to have any food from .la sold here tomorrow. This would have been our plan b of Tamales and Tacos De Canasta cooked off site and sold here, as it was clear the permits for the food truck would not clear in time.
It would have been glorious.
We thought we had a right and reasonable plan, turns out we did not.

Sorry friends, we're just as bummed as you are. Bureaucracy is a bastard.

Tacos will happen.

located in Tuerong on the Mornington Peninsula wholeheartedly embraces a "paddock to pint" philosophy. They grow their own hops and grain on their 34-hectare farm, ensuring consistently fresh and authentic ingredients for their brews.
The brewery was founded by Mike and Paula Shaw, fourth-generation farmers with deep roots in the Mornington Peninsula, and their family's long-standing connection to the land drives the brewery's commitment to sustainable practices.
Head brewer Michael Stanzel (who you may remember from Burnley Brewing) is instrumental in bringing the "paddock to pint" vision to life. He crafts beers using the farm's produce, and Devil Bend Farm Beer is one of the few Australian breweries to use a koelschip, a traditional cooling method that allows wild yeasts to impart a unique character to their beers.

This Thursday we'll have a brand new West Coast IPA on tap alongside a bunch of the core range on pour to offer up a taste of what's coming out of Tuerong.

In other news...
Not much movement on the council's end regarding future pop ups but I did get a response to my two previous emails as did Tom it seems.
There is an application pending for this Sunday and as much as I hope the council can get behind it, it feels like they won't back it.
It would be great if we had an open dialogue or even basic advice as to how future events can operate but we are flying blind here. As much as support is suggested, there isn't a lot being offered.
Who would have thought a food truck in a car park would be so controversial?

But we keep pushing.
