🌍 Keeping Our Neighbourhood Clean! ♻️

Over the weekend, my son and I joined our local councillor and fellow volunteers for a community litter pick around our neighbourhood.

We were surprised by how much rubbish we collected, particularly discarded v**es, some with exposed batteries.

Just a friendly reminder from Janta Supermarket:
🗑️ The public bin outside our shop is for general litter only, not household waste or discarded v**es.

♻️ We have a dedicated v**e recycling bin inside Janta Supermarket! Please bring your used v**es in for safe recycling rather than throwing them on the streets or in general waste bins.

💚 A big thank you to everyone who volunteered! Small efforts like these help keep our neighbourhood clean and safe.

🚨 SHOPLIFTING INCIDENT – JANTA SUPERMARKET, BEDFORD 🚨

We’re sharing this following a shoplifting incident at our store today.

The woman pictured entered with a large, full duffel bag and appeared to conceal additional items in a backpack and under her coat. We recovered some stock, but other items were taken. We did not confront her to avoid risking anyone’s safety.

🚨 🚨 Shoplifter 🚨 🚨 We are asking the individual pictured to please return to the shop and pay for the items taken without payment.
We would also appreciate Bedfordshire Police looking into this. Shop theft has a real impact on small independent businesses, and we hope appropriate action can be taken to support and protect local retailers.
If anyone recognises this person, please contact us privately.
