🚨 CO-OP UPDATE 🚨

Unfortunately, due to an Internet outage, our card payments are currently down. We will endeavour to update you all as soon as they are back up. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Thank you to Barton Library for helping us print more colouring sheets yesterday when our own printer decided it no longer liked us!

The Halloween Colouring Competition is well underway and we're seeing some wonderful masterpieces adorning the glass windows of our foyer already. There are still plenty of sheets available, so why not pop along and join in? Adults welcome too!

When he's not investigating the winter tulips, Dennis wants you to know that we're now selling pumpkins. And that our Halloween Colouring Competition is up and running for its second year, so you should all come and collect some entry sheets from the till. You heard him! 😸

12/10/2026

Grab your colouring pencils, because the Co-Op Halloween Colouring Competition is back!

Come and get an entry sheet from behind the till, colour it in, fill out your details and return it to us by Monday 2nd November to be entered into a prize draw to win one of three prizes!

All ages are welcome, adults included. There is also a box on the form for you to tick if you wish to have a homemade Christmas decoration named after you on our Co-Op Christmas tree - a separate post on this will be coming soon. If you have any questions, please just comment on this post.

All entries will be displayed in our foyer, and they made such a wonderful display last year. We can't wait to see what you come up with this year! 🎃🎨🖍

The Rotary Club's coat collection box now has pride of place in our foyer. They're in search of any and all unwanted coats, provided they are clean and complete. Every coat will count in their quest to help people in need this winter.

We are egg-static to announce that A Good Egg will be paying us a visit this Saturday, 10th October, 10am-2pm. If, like them, you are on a quest to find the perfect scotch egg... you'd best get cracking! 🥚🍳

COMMUNITY UPDATE 💙

What's coming up at the Co-Op over the next few months?

Our Co-Op is about more than just selling food. We want it to be a hub of the community. With that in mind, here's a taste of what to expect from us in the run-up to Christmas!

October(ish) - Rotary Club Coat Collection. Details TBC!

Late October - Halloween Colouring Competition 2.0! Last year's was such a huge success that we've decided to do it again. More details to come very soon.

Saturday 7th November - Pudsey Bear visits the shop for Children In Need.

Late November to early December - Toy Collection for FACES Bedford.

Early December - we are participating in the 25th annual Christmas Tree Festival at St Nicholas' Church. And this year, we want our decorations to be dedicated to you, our customers. If you'd like a Christmas decoration with your name on it, please ask to sign up at the till!

Two Saturdays in December (dates TBC) - Rotary Club Santa visits the shop with his sleigh. 🎅

We will be updating this page with further details when we have them. But for now, please get your colouring pencils ready for the Halloween Colouring Competition! Details coming very soon...
