There’s a lot going on in the village this weekend - what with First Friday dinner at the Fox and goose pub and a Big Birthday celebration. 🎉🎂🍾

Keep your energy levels up with some freshly homemade cakes at our community cafe. Just made this morning we have a Siss-roll (gluten-free), some Raspberry and pistachio biscuits (vegan) and both cheese and plain scones. Not to mention some gorgeously gooey doughnuts from the bakers 🍩as well as all the usual (cake) suspects. 🍰😋

Sunday we celebrated volunteers week ( a little late ) an afternoon tea as thank you from us to all of our wonderful volunteers 🌸

Whether you're on the shop floor or part of the goings on behind the scenes we are always so thankful for all you do, our community shop simply wouldn't run without you all.

Thank you to all those who managed to come along, what a lovely afternoon it was.

It’s National Cream-tea day today!

Here at our community shop and cafe we have homemade, warm scones ready for slathering with a dollop of clotted-cream and a spoonful of jam. 😋🌺

Not in the mood for cream? We also have fresh Cheese scones, Almond and blackcurrant cake (gluten-free) and and an Apple cake (vegan)🍎 🍰

Happy Leon Day! 🥳🤔

No, I didn’t know what it was either, but apparently, according to Teresa we’re celebrating being exactly half way between last Christmas and this coming Christmas. (“Leon” is “Noel” backwards). 🎄🌺🎄
So we have a mincemeat and apple tart if you fancy a hint of Christmas.
If not there’s hot Roasted vegetable Quiche just out of the oven in time for lunch. 😋

Just out of the oven we’ve got a Lemon and lime sponge, Blackcurrant frangipani tart and Cherry shortbread.
No gluten-free or vegan cakes this time but hopefully on Friday for the weekend. 😊

Well isn't this weather just glorious ☀️ i don't know about you, but I'd say its a perfect weekend for a BBQ and better still you don't need to travel to get what you need, we have everything in your local community shop.

The freezer is full of sausages, burgers, pork chops, lamb chops and steaks.

We are also adding a new range of BBQ items that will be fresh in tomorrow. Any orders for Besshill or John may need to be in by 12 today!

The famous oli perrin salad bags have arrived and are selling fast!

And for pudding we have the sweetest strawberries in town!

And after all that why not wash it down with a cider or two!
