Last week Paul was lucky enough to spend three days in the iconic wine region of Tokaj as a guest of the magnificent Chateau Dereszla. The amazing hospitality from Gábor and everyone at the chateau, accompanied by their superb wines and glorious food (plus a bit of rallying around the vineyards in the UTVs!) made for a truly memorable visit. Keep an eye out for some of our favourite Chateau Dereszla wines now and over the coming months.

Bedoba Orange Wine 2022
Bright amber in the glass, this skin-contact wine opens with intense aromas of apricot jam, orange peel, and dried flowers. The palate is dry, deeply textured, and complex, blending vibrant stone fruit flavours with subtle notes of toasted hazelnuts and wild honey. Balanced by a refreshing acidity and a soft, tea-like tannic structure, it concludes with a long, pleasantly savoury finish.

Made from 100% Chardonnay and deep golden in colour, this elegant English sparkling wine shows the benefit of extended lees aging. Rich and well-rounded on the palate, it captures mature, toasty complexity alongside fresh orchard fruit and vibrant acidity. A beautifully balanced expression, offering depth, finesse, and a long, satisfying finish.
