Previously bottled at 10 years old, Glenmorangie’s signature bottling is now aged for 12 years in bourbon casks, absorbing an array of delicious flavours!

OUT TODAY! Wire Works Necessary Evil 2025 🥃

This 2025 release of Wire Works Necessary Evil Finish is the third in White Peak Distillery’s collaborative series with Bakewell’s Thornbridge Brewery - truly a Derbyshire spirit!

This whisky begins as a lightly peated spirit aged in ex-bourbon barrels. It’s then finished for eight months in casks that previously held Thornbridge’s Necessary Evil imperial stout.

The finishing STR casks (shaved, toasted, recharred ex-red wine) first matured Wire Works whisky. Thornbridge then used them to mature Necessary Evil stout, before returning the casks to the distillery to create this release.

These are truly some of the most stunning bottlings we’ve ever seen at The Wee Dram! Five fabulous whiskies, selected from four casks representing the four family members of West Midlands Distillery.

🥃 First Fill Bourbon Cask - 52.1% ABV
🥃 Bourbon Quarter Cask - 53.8% ABV
🥃 Caribbean Rum Cask - 53.2% ABV
🥃 Oloroso Quarter Cask - 53.9% ABV
🥃 The Matriach (a blend of the four casks listed above) - 51.9% ABV

All of these bottlings are £85.00 each.

Due to the extremely small availability of these bottlings, they are strictly limited to one bottle per customer, from the shop only (not available to purchase online or over the phone). They are being sold on a first come, first serve basis.
