Hi everyone , hope you're enjoying the sun, even if it is a bit blustery out there!
so to trading hours!!
For week beginning 13th April I will be continuing with the shorter hours which are

Monday 13th to Saturday 18th -10 am to 2 pm
Sunday - CLOSED
and will see how things are next weekend.

Hi everyone,

well, here we are again! Bit of a situation that I need to deal with which means changes to the shop trading hours..... again!! So, apologies but there are things that I need to deal with, so...

Today ( Wednesday) closing at 2 pm ( short notice, sorry)
Thursday 9th CLOSED
Friday 10th and Saturday 11th 10am to 2 pm.

Will have to see how things go so will post more times at the weekend.

So, sorry again , but its a bit of a difficult time at the moment, so thanks for your understanding.

Hi everyone. Firstly, thank you for all your lovely supportive comments, means a lot.
Well, seems no further surgery at the moment, still guzzling antibiotics for the next week then sutures out and hope that will be that!
As for the shop, I need to be sensible, so these will be the trading hours:

Thursday 2nd 10am to 2pm
Friday 3rd 10am to 4pm
Saturday 4th 10am to 4pm
Sunday..............CLOSED
Easter Monday 10am to 2pm
Tuesday 7th onwards 10 am to 4pm until further notice.

Thanks again for all your support. Look forward to seeing you! And for the children, big and small, there's a little easter treat waiting for you 😋

Update.
Good and not so good news!
Had the op Friday, reluctantly allowed home Saturday!
Unfortunately, cant run the shop single handedly.... and I mean that literally, so will be closed on Monday.
Tuesday and Wednesday the shop will be open 10am to 2.pm
Have an outpatient review Wednesday, hopefully no further surgery needed and everything is healing well.
Will let you know how things are with further shop opening times on Wednesday.
Really sorry folks, hope everything will be OK for easter weekend!

Sorry folks, ongoing saga. Back to raigmore tomorrow (Friday) fingers crossed I can get the op and it's not cancelled. So, unfortunately, shop will be closed again tomorrow. The good news is, it will be open on Saturday, Freddie has offered to run the shop along with Jack,so see you then

Update! Sorry but the shop will be closed tomorrow, I have to go to hospital. Am hoping it's just a day thing so am not sure about Friday. Watch this space for updates.

Thanks to everyone for continuing to support the shop. Trading hours for the remainder of January will be 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday,, Sunday CLOSED. A very big thankyou to everyone who has offered to help ( be prepared, you may get a call!). However, I will need to organise myself and take on for now, at least, another staff member so if anyone is looking for a part time position please contact the shop during opening hours or send an email to [email protected] for further information.

Family and friends are travelling here from tomorrow for Michelle's memorial on Thursday and I was wondering whether it would be best to drive to aultbea via gairloch or braemore junction? Or if the roads are still heavily snow covered. Thanks

Firstly, Happy New Year to everyone!

As many of you are now aware, Michelle's memorial is to be held on 8th January at 11am. Its an opportunity to celebrate her life and what a wonderful person she was. She is a sad loss not only to me but to the community. Michelle felt for the first time she had set down roots and considered Aultbea her home and always wanted to stay here. That is one wish I can give her.

I have opened the shop and am slowly getting back into the routines. However there is a lot to sort out and in order to start this process and to prepare for her service, I will be closing the shop for one week commencing 5th January and reopening on 12th January.

I will keep to the hours of 10 am to 4pm for the remainder of the month and hope this doesn't prove too much of an inconvenience to people. I am looking into recruiting staff and hoping to extend our opening hours from February.

I would again like to thank everyone for their heart felt support, its really helped me.
